There is a reason that Jerry Sloan has never been coach of the year. He sucks!!! He may be the longest tenered coach in pro sports, but he is not a coach that has that winning drive. I say the Jazz need to dump Sloan as coach and get someone that can lead these guys to a championship. They have all the players in place now to win a championship, but Sloan is not the coach that can get them there. DUMP Sloan now!!! The Jazz can probably win it all next year if they get a good coach to lead them next year.

He is a good coach because he is reliable and stable.
He just haven't been the coach of the year because his team isn't the best performing team.
Normally the coach who wins "Coach of the year" is the one who makes the greatest win increase in their team. The only problem with his team is that they are always consistent in winning...

He is not agressive enough in his substitutions. He needs to be able to trust players enough to keep them in the game in critical situations. When Boozer got his second foul in the last game, instead of taking him out right away, he should have kept him in to develope a flow for the game. When he took Boozer out they where tied in the game, but they fell behind by 14 points very quickly and could never recover from this.
