Do you think mylot should at least send a message when they delete a post?

I stared a discussion to cheer for my 100th posting yesterday. But to find it was removed from the web page this morning. I don't know what's wrong with the post. Mylot should at least send me a message for doing that, for mylot squad can be irresponsible for their such kind of act regardless to the user's feeling. Guess how happy I was when I reach 100 posts yesterday, but today I am so sad. Only one notice could make me feel better. I know some of you have the same experience here. Do you think mylot should send you a message for deleting your post?

hello cheney sorry to hear that your discussion is removed. i know exactly what you feel coz two of my discussion in the past got deleted while it is active so that really makes me sad. it would be great though if they could send a notification while the discussion is deleted so we can understand it more and hopefully wont do the same mistake. i contacted mylot when they deleted my 2 discussion and was told that maybe it violates one of the guidelines, so i have to wonder which one i violate. like you i feel it will be best to get a message from them and understand the cause of it and learn. oh well, it is a wishful thinking for now and we can only hope that maybe it will be better some day. just keep posting and enjoy your time here, we can only learn from our mistake and move on. takecare!

Yes, that's right. I was surprised last time I went to check all my discussions that I started and found out one of them was deleted because mylot said it violated some rules and guidelines. It would be nice to be notified that our discussion gets deleted and not just find it out by yourself.

Did you write to them about it? It's not enough that we discuss about it here in the discussion board. It would be best if you write a personal message to myLot and indicate your request.

I agree - I think that there should be some sort of notification system with details on your "offence". I realise that such discussions may not be seen as "valuable", but like I saw you say to someone else - they often get a lot of responses and create a pleasant atmosphere of encouragement and positivity when everyone can celebrate together and share their own joys. It would also be kind of nice for responders to know when a discussion is deleted. =) And congratulations on reaching 100, and good luck to 1000 and beyond! =D

I agree with you. I think it's unfair. People here in myLot are motivated not only by the earnings but by the points we get or the star rating and lately a lot of people are complaining about both. Though I have not experienced it yet, I guess you are right, myLot should send notice of deletion so that we will know what was wrong with our discussion and to avoid the same in the future. It's just a plain principle of courtesy because I believe that myLotters are doing their best here and it's just right that myLot management should give us the necessary treatment that we deserve. (I hope I will not be banned for saying this )

Certainly you wouldn't be banned for this. Lol. I believe Mylot is quite tolerant to our suggestion.

i agree with you. Mylot admin/squad should send the poster a message if they feel the post needs to be deleted for any reason. I wish they would alos send you a message and explain what the problem is and give us a chance to revise our post before deleting it. That way we don't spend time writing and writing and then realize we will not get credit because it was deleted. Your suggestion is great. I hope when mylot admin reads this they will see your suggestions and take upon that and revise their deleting habits.

I think that a notification would be nice if they delete one of your posts / discussions and I think that a explanation about why they deleted it would be even nicer.

It would be nice to know which of your posts or discussions have been deleted. Because I have often wondered which of my posts have been deleted. Another feature that I would like to see is an edit feature for after you have posted a discussion or response.

Yes. I agree with you. I feel bad when I found a mistake in my sentences and was unable to correct it.

I think that a notification for this would be a good idea along with a reason for it. Congradulations for reaching a 100 post, by the way. I hope that you like it here. I love MyLot. There are several things that I wish that we had and a notification for deletions is one of them. Along with a ratings explanation would be wonderful.

I love mylot too. And maybe I am a little too serious in mylot. So the deletion disappointed me.

I had this happen to me too, when I reached 100 or 500, can't remember which now. I sulked for half an hour then forgot about it. It's par for the course and if you want to be an active and respected member of the myLot community, it's best not to dwell on things that you can't change and just continue to contribute as best you can, whilst staying within the rules. I am pretty sure the myLot guidelines advise what sort of discussions are acceptable and aren't so they don't feel the need to advise when they delete discussions - at the time of my post there are 128,450 members on this site, can you imagine how much time myLot admin spends deleting inappropriate posts? This would take so much more time if they had to then let every discussion author know that their discussion was deleted and why it was deleted :)

Maybe they can send a message informing the poster of the removed post without the details about what rules the post violate. That can be implemented by technic.

i think they should notify a person or email a person that a post has violated one of there rules that way...that person will be able to prevent mistakes on future discussions and make more quality discussions....it says on there guidelines that they value thier users thats why they give compensation to show how valued and appreciated their users...but not notifying the users and just deleting a disrespect.

I also experienced that before - having my number of posts decreased. Posts may have been deleted but there's no way to know it directly because there not even a single notice from myLot. It may have been stated in their TOS that they can delete any message without notice. Anyway, I'm sure it is for myLot's good that they delete certain posts and thus benefits us also because we are members of myLot. :)

Yes. They have rights to delete the voilating posts. But it would be better with a notification to the poster.

Yes I do think that there should be an explanation given as to why posts are deleted, because then at least we would know why a post is deleted. I have a couple deleted I think that I do not know the reason for as there seemed to be no reason for it. But also when I lose a lot of points of my post score I think that there should be an explanation sent for this too.

wow, at last a discussion where I could be able to respond and share my opinions. I have also experienced that as well my dear friend. How I wish they would notify us because I have been trying to post discussions I avoid committing their violations but some still tend to violate it so they delete it. I have just reached my 100th post lately and it felt great. I am planning to achieve something like getting my first payout here and gain more friends as well. Have a great time my dear friend and enjoy your stay here still despite of that idea. ^_^

Yes, I think it's better for Mylot to send a message when they want to delete a post. Otherwise we won't understand why our posts have to be deleted. We have the rights to know what's wrong with it. And we can avoid to make the same mistake again. I love China

Me too. I found it weird that one of my dicussion was missing yesterday. Then after a little research I was disappointed to learn that it had been removed by mylot squad.

You need to read and remember the myLot guidelines. I find it useful to re-read them from time to time. I no longer add responses to discussions which just say hooray for reaching so many posts because I know the discussion and my response will probably be removed. Please do not feel sad about your post being deleted. You should still feel happy with your achievement and go on posting within the guidelines.

I have never read the guidelines. That may resulted in my removed discussion. But I was always so careful about my post to make them valuable and polite, never to be offensive or dirty. So I was a bit disappointed when my post get deleted. Thank you for your suggestion!
