Well I don't hv high blood pressure but my father has. He used to take pills for it everyday. But then he started doing Yoga and Pranayam which gave him relief. He has stopped taking the pills for almost an yr now. His blood pressure is normal most of the time apart frm may be one or two times. He is healthier, fitter and is fresh all day.
So to all ppl hving high BP try Yoga may be it will benefit u.

Well, Usually blood pressure goes up due to feeling anxious which leads to head, neck and back pain. They arent really SYMPTOMS of high blood pressure. Your BP should be 120/60

These are SYMPTOMS/SIGNS of possible elevated blood pressure. Not every pain in the head, neck or back is High Blood Pressure....that's for sure. I used to think it was critical to have a bp reading anything higher than the precedented norm of 120/60, but as long as its below 140/90 your okay. Doctors call it "Borderline Hypertension" I'm also finding out being borderline isn't so good though, because over time other body organs start to suffer. My doctor had shared with me too...that the top number is related to your body fighting illness or infections in the body. The bottom number is related specifically to problems with your heart itself. Thank you for your input.

Thank you for sharing the symptoms you felt when you found out you had high blood pressure. My husband was getting really irritable all the time and then started feeling a pain on his neck and shoulders and shortness in his breathing. I made him sit down at the bp booth at Walmart just to get a quick reading and his reading was 210/110. I called the doctors and they wanted him in immediately and warned me to talk him into it subtly not to panic him. We went in and sure enough it was slightly higher. They kept asking him if he had chest pain. The nurse asked it so much...he told her,"if you don't quit asking me I might start having chest pain" The instantly got him into a bed, hooked up ekg's, and ran some tests. He was put on bp meds ever since and it keeps it down to normal when he consistantly takes the pills.
