I realize that politicians can't or won't do anything that can help the average citizen. It doesn't matter what political party that they come from, they are just in it for what they can get out of it. There are solutions to most of our problems, but politics get in the way. Mandating things like how much ethanol must be produced, just increases the price of food, because we use the corn for fuel instead of food. We still don't use any less fuel. There are new technologies out there that could help, but the red tape to bring them to the market place are overwelming. Compressed air vehicals that can get 100 miles to a gallon of gasoline have been developed, but won't be available for 3 or 4 years due to this red tape. The compressed air vehicals use compressed air to propel them up to 80 miles per hour at 100 miles to the gallon of gas. They have a small gasoline engine that keeps air compressed in the vehicals air tanks to be used for propulsion, and can get 100 miles on a gallon of gasoline on the highway.

Too little to late I say. I am 50 now and can remember when I was taking Govenment in school. My teacher told us that our Govenment and its politicians' believe that the american people(public)are ignorant and don't care. I also remember when Reagan was voted into office, I asked several people who voted for him, why they did, their response: "because everyone else was", so with that said, I have seen time and time again that my teacher was right. Today, with technology and the ability to access information faster and across the globe things seem to be changing, more and more of the common working class are getting educated via the Internet and now you see these politicians paying more attention to the people. I love mylot for this reason alone, most of us get to share our opinions and whether we agree or disagree the information is good for all.

Yeah..you're right...!!
POLITICIANS are really ruling things not for a our better living but for them to live the way they want.....not for public welfare but for them..not for social welfare but for them...it all cause a thing and they are the powerful who governs all ..!!!
we may see sometimes they're social works and goodness..BUT we not know they're TRUE HIDDEN AGENDA at all..##
hope those true politicians who holds they're principles to do their DUTY by virtue of what they've pledge to the public will serve as voted and elected to do for public welfare and betterment of each life as possible ..
