My SO got some sliced cheese from the store that they gave him free because the sell by date was expiring. We put it in the freezer to keep it fresh. Well yesterday I got it out and put it in the frige. I ate some it didn't taste bad but I got sick later and am wondering if it could have been from the cheese. What do you think?

In the UK selling or giving away Out Of Date Food is illegal. However, if you are poor, needy & hungry and you are being offered say tinned food for free which is only just out of date, then its not something you are likely to refuse. That's why as a senior I put my web skills to work to produce my completely free to use website http://www.OutOfDateFood.org

I can't believe that they would give your SO the expired cheese! I bet that is what got you sick.. I never buy or use expired milk products.

I'm afraid your sickness was very likely caused by the cheese, I would never recommend eating or drinking dairy products that are out of date. Milk is about the worst thing you can have out of date as it can give you really awful food poisoning (this has happened to me once and I've never made that mistake again LOL) so having out of date cheese can surely have the same effect (unless you have a really strong constitution - like my hubby)!
