What do you think about Eee PC?

I think Eee PC is a kind of laptop. It's smaller and very light. You can carry it easily. It uses a SD card and it doesn't have a hard disk. I have two laptops and one desktop at home. Lately my husband borrowed an Eee PC and since it's smaller, my son likes it a lot. And perhaps it is much more convenient for my mom to use it. It's for them to use. As this kind of computer isn't suitable for me as I am professional at computer:) Its disadvantage is its batter doesn't have a big change. It still lasts several hours. Besides, its price isn't expensive compare to its feature. So in fact I like to buy more laptop rather than an Eee PC. Its keyboard isn't good to use in my opinion. It responds slowly. But anyway, this kind of laptop is suitable for the people like my mom and son.

it is also for people who are on the go and wants to travel light. i find it very practical if you bring it along because it fits in a small bag, it is light and very manageable , even the keys, if i may add. we have been using tha asus brand for quite sometime now in our business and if we are on the move ,away from our office , it is very helpful. it serves it's purpose right. we just have to bring an external hard drive if we are to carry a bigger data.

If its battery can last longer time, and the keyboard will respond faster, then it'll be better. Besides, right now it seems its price is a little big high. For this price, I prefer to add more money and then buy a laptop. But it is really good for travel as it's small and light.

another added info, since it's in solid state , that means there are less movable parts and it is less vulnerable to damage wherein a laptop or a notebook , as from my experience , the more you move and carry it around , it's parts are slowly getting a beating. well, of course the laptop is a killing machine as compared to a more satellite one. nothing can beat that.

hey,youless..My friend has a laptop like that and she said she wished she bought a bigger one because her eyes are crossing already...i dont know why..maybe because the font is small? She isn't satisfied with it and wants to trade it with a bigger and faster one... i was planning on buying the same model, because it was cheaper and more portable..Good thing I havent bought one yet, or I am sure to be sorry either...

yeah, it's hard to type too..if you're so used to using a bigger one, you would surely have a hard time with this model...

I think it is a very good and light PC for light usage, such as document processing, simple presentation, preparation for meetings and stuff like that. The Eee PC was never meant to be used heavily like what a programmer would do on a normal PC. The original intention of the Eee PC is to built a cheap laptop to reach the average and below average income family so that they too can enjoy the benefits of internet and computing facilities. If one is thinking of using the Eee PC for intensive uses like interactive gaming, programming or even heavy processing duties like picture rendering, I can safely tell you to forget it. What a lot of people did was to get the Eee PC and reformat it to run Linux where the kernel and the loading OS is smaller to get the maximum out of the in-built memory. With memory cards going as high as 16GB , there is no limit to the number of GB you want to expand your Eee PC. With time, this 16GB limitation will be raised further.

In fact I don't think Eee PC's price is very cheap. In fact I prefer to add some money and then buy a better laptop I really don't like to use the keyboard of Eee PC. By the way, the price for Olympus E510 is pretty good today

I have an Asus G2S-A1 gaming laptop and called their tech support to get a keyboard replaced. It was on the phone for less then 5 minutes and I have a new keyboard in the mail. I also have a friend who has the eee PC and although it seems as though it is too small, but it is actually very easy to use. Also, the specification for this type of laptop is called an 'ultraportable', Sony made some, but one couldn't really consider it a 'laptop' as much as a glorified smartphone.

I have an ASUS eee pc 701 and I really fell in love with it! It's small but very useful. It may not be as powerful as other full-fledged laptops, but it does the jobs that I want it to do. I only use it to surf the internet and write documents, thanks to the OpenOffice suite.

As long as you are satisfied with it, then it will be good enough
