Scamsters Preying on Me

I have some scamster preying on me trying to get me to give them my bank account info. They got my email address from a listing of an apartment I have for rent. They say they are interested in this apartment because they are moving to New York. I told them it wasn't in NY and they just kept at it. So I kept agging them on, telling them they have to do an application in person and if they really worked for the U.N. they would understand why. Scamsters on the internet really are unbelievable. I hope no one actually falls for this.

i had one of those once. told me an uncle in germany passed away and i was to recive his money and stuff as long as i send him my bank info. it was like 6 million bucks or something. so i wrote back and asked him why this didnt go through my mom who was alive and well or my dad who is also alive and well. then i pointed out my grandparents and other family members who would recieve it before. he never wrote back.

I get these people all the time saying I have money from an inherentence, a bank draft, or a fedex package. I can't see how it is so hard for these scams to be stopped. Thanks for your response and have a great day!

Report them to the abuse department of their mail provider. For instance, Yahoo is abuse@yahoo.com, with hotmail you just replace yahoo with hotmail. They might be able to delete the account for spamming or scamming. Or you can report them to the U.N., I'm sure they wouldn't appreciate people using their name! I'm glad you're savvy enough not to fall for this!

I like your ideas. I would have never thought about reporting them to the email abuse for the provider, let alone the U.N. LOL Thanks and have a great day!!!
