Does your dog hate the camera?

Most dogs don't seem to mind it but Gus starts barking and growling at the camera the moment he sees it in my hand! Makes it really hard to take pictures of him! I have to wait till he's distracted with a toy or he can't see me.
Is your dog a ham or does he/she hate cameras?

You're very lucky! Gus hates the camera and Cookie wants to play as soon as I take it out and I can't get too many good shots--she's always on the go when the camera comes out. Maybe she wants to be a movie star!
I did get one good picture recently, she was tired after playing. I've attached it here. Do you have any of your dogs? I'd love to see them!

my dog doesn't hate camera she would just love to pose if you're gonna took a picture of her. but my cat does lol she knews when i would take a shot from my camera then she doesn't look at me at all

Cats can be very finicky and arrogant. I think that's the way they entertain themselves!

LOL no my female dog could care less about it but my male dog is a total camera diva...its just comical the way he is as soon as he hears it get turned on....

I had a dog like that once but unfortunately it was before digital cameras and film/developing was expensive. I got some good pictures, though. My favorite was of him atop a huge rock looking like noble hunter, his lovely black feathery tail being blown by the wind.
I love dogs that ham it up!

I love the way our dog pose when we will take pictures of him!.. as if he knows that we will take picture. he will face the camera... every picture of him we have, he always look in the camera... the output is.. wow! he's so cute then....

I caught Cookie standing still once and it almost looks as if she's posing but she was actually looking at a lizard on the fence--immediately after I took the photo, she was off in a blur and caught that lizard, poor thing!
Dogs are so cute, I've seen some wonderfully expressive pictures. Do you have one you can post?

I have two puppies that are coming along nicely and when they see me with the camera they start to jump around me, especially when it makes a beep sound (which I sometimes do on purpose just to see how they react!)
I don't get to take good pictures of them though cause they won't sit still! I like to tease them and tell them they are like superstars cause they just jump and right at the camera lens as if they are saying "take a picture of me! take a picture of me!" The thing is I say in my mind..."I would...if you'd sit still for a minute!"

Aren't puppies great? The best part is the puppy breath and puppy kisses! You should post a picture, I'd like to see them.

my dog loves camera and i think he even wants to pose for the camera...anyway my dog loves attention, especially from the girls hehe -- he is a boy fox terrior

Cats can be real hams! I don't blame him for hating the flash feature, maybe you can only take pictures when there's plenty of light so he won't be so camera-shy!
Cats make wonderful subjects, they have so much personality and body language!

I have one dog that loves the camera, he seems like he knows what it is. He will pose for me and everything, if I go out there with it, he'll sit down and just look at me, till I take the picture, or he'll sit with one paw up, its cute....lol. The others are too hyper to sit still for 2 seconds, can't hardly get their pics.
