the worst you can do to a 10 grand is to gamble it away and end up going home zero money...

I have a true answer for that.A relative once did get a check for $10,000 and he had another relative drive him miles away twice to cash it and never gave that person,his own brother, gas money or bought him lunch or something to drink. Zilch ! Then he spent the whole $10,000 on drinking and lost his apartment.
