Crazy question....... Do you , or have you ever Fainted? I get these Mild / Brief Black out spells......But it's embarrassing when you're giving Blood ( as I was today ) At the Red Cross in a whole room full of people.... and all I know is that people are asking me if I know where I am. This ( fainting or close to fainting ) happens frequently to me...... Today I didn't even Know I had passed out. The Nurse asked me what My Dream was and I swear to God.....I don't know what she was talking about! I was looking at the lights in the Ceiling the whole time ( thought Bubble...... or at least I thought I was ) Is it scary to you? I don't Faint from Fear EVER! But what do you do when you don't even know you've passed out?

I used to black out or faint when I got sunstroke as a child. I am still prone to sunstroke, but I can now recognize the feeling prior to passing out and get into the shade and/or also get a cool drink to refresh myself.

Actually, I don't think I have ever fainted. I have gotten light headed and dizzy, but never actually fainted. If yoiu don't know you have passed out, there isn't a whole lot you can do. By the way, have you been to a doctor about this?

I have experience but a little light than what you have experienced agfarm. I didn't took my breakfast that moment when i was talking a government examination. It started at 7 am and ended up at 11 am, after going home, i felt so light and can't walk straightly, what I have seen is total darkness and so i pressed hard my finger and took some rest and after a while, i was able to manage to go the kitchen to get some food! I can't imagine if i had it outside the house or in the public!

I too have fainting spells all the time. Although, knock on wood, I have not had one in the past couple of years. I used to faint every few months for no reason at all. I went to my doctor and had every test you can think of performed on me and they never foung anything out. It was a big waste of time but made me feel a bit better that they couldn't find anything wrong. I agree that they are very embarassing! I did it one time in the middle of our food court in college. I forgot to tell me roommates about it happening and they freaked out and called 9-1-1. They took me out on a stretcher in front of thousands of people. I was so embarassed! I have many more stories like that but that's probably the most embarassing. I would talk to your doctor just to find out for sure that there is nothing seriously wrong with you. Good luck and I hope you land on soft surfaces! Ha!

Well, I fainted couple times already. I don't think I have ever passed before in my life. I do give blood to the Red Cross on behalf of especially healthcare systems around the world. I pray to God that we all need help. So I take it real easy and slow. I do consume lots of water and healthy foods, including fruit juices.

Go talk to your dr. this could be from something serious or could just be from low blood sugar or anemeia. I always pass out when i give blood, not from fear but after a certain amount has been taken i get clammy and the room starts getting darker and darker , the next thing i know my feet are up in the air and they are pouring o.j. down my throat. And yes it is humiliating because i was a nurse for 20yrs. The only other time i have ever came close to fainting is when i was pregnant and my blood sugar would drop.

I agree upon this subject about fainting and passing out. What I would do is to go see your doctor. Drink extra, extra water and healthy fruit juices. So as you donate blood, just take it really easy and slow. Just eat certain healthy stuff, especially fruits and vegetables. I gave blood several times before. I never passed out before. So I would drink lots and lots of water.
