For me I find all salads easy to amke since they dont involve cooking, all you have to do is to mix all the ingredients refrigerate and alas you have yummy dessert. The next is the maja blanca is a filipino dish with coconut milk, milk sugar and conr starch. Its also basically mixing but one has to cook it on slow fire. Its so easy and Im proud to say that I make yummy maja blancas and my loved ones request for it when we have occasions. Hope you can also share you forte. have a nice day and take care!

Well, it's not exactly cooking it, but I have a great recipe for a Cherry Bing bar, that I wrote myself. My family goes crazy if I don't make it for a long period of time (more than 3 months). I also make fruit pies quite well. The other day I made a fresh strawberry pie, and they about ate it before it was even put together.

I like to make up bar recipes. It's quite fun to find things that my family and I enjoy as mixtures. I also like to make soup/stew recipes. It's just fun and often trial and error, really. so far I think only a couple of the soup ones weren't too great. I don't know if they've realized they're my test panel, yet.... :~) One method I sometimes use is to start out with a recipe from somewhere (a cookbook, a family recipe or the internet, etc.) and change it so that it suits our tastes. That helps me get a handle on the possibilities for certain foods.Sometimes when I start this way, I gradually end up with a whole different recipe, over a period of time making it many different times, and each one a bit different than all the others. As for the Cherry Bing bars, I took a pre-made candy bar, and tried to figure out how they made it. Here's the recipe: Ingredients: 1 - 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips(I usually prefer semi-sweet) 4 squares of chocolate flavored almond bark 1 1/2 cups of chopped nuts (Peanuts, almonds, cashews, whatever you wish) 1 - 12 oz pkg. cherry chocolate chips 2 cups approximately of marshmallows 9 x 9 inch square pan, sprayed with unflavored cooking spray Put Almond bark and chocolate chips in a glass bowl in microwave, or in a pan on the stove and melt. To use the microwave, and the ingredients are room temperature, you put them in for 2 minutes total, in one-minute increments. Stir in between minutes. Make sure it is all melted, when you are done. If you use the stovetop, make sure you use a double boiler and slowly melt it, so you don't burn the chocolate. Do NOT add any water. After i's all melted, add the chopped nuts and stir. Pour approx. 1/3 of the chocolate/nut mixture into the sprayed pan, and flatten/ spread it evenly across the bottom. Next, put the cherry chips and marshmallows in another glass bowl, for 1 1/2 minutes, in 30-second increments. Stir each time it stops. When all is melted and mixed together, you will have very little time to try to flatten this into the pan on top of the chocolate mixture. You may try adding about 2 tbsp. of margarine or butter, to help with this matter, but if you can put it in the pan and kind of spread it around with clean hands, by possibly picking up parts that didn't spread, it will be more even in the pan. The object is to try to make it evenly on top of the chocolate, without pressing the cherry mix into the bottom of the pan. Now pour the remaining chocolate mixture on top of the cherry layer and evenly spread it across the top. Depending upon the temperature and humidity, you may need for this to stand for about 6 to 24 hours, before it is completely set in. My family likes to rush it, and tries to eat it after about 4 hours, usually. The most difficult part is really the bottom layer. It seems to work to put it in the refrigerator for just a bit, but not too long, or it doesn't really set right, and ends up melting more again. I hope this one works out for anyone who wants to try it. It also seems to work out best when done with a bit of help with a few of th steps that require you to move quickly. Good luck!

That was my motto before, but i got curios and tried for myself cooking the food that I love eating and one good result is that I am good at eating than cooking food. But hey I still believe in the saying that practice makes perfect and maybe in time I will be able to cook well. Time when I dont know.

I love pasta ever since but I have no luck when it comes to cooking or jsut doing something in the kitchen so I stay out of anything that involves cooking. But sometimes, I make my own dessert. The only thing I can without using fire is mango float. I love to make it, it's all raw and you just and to freeze it and it's all done.

Yes,of course I can teach you how to make maja blanca. Its also like salads that you just mix all the ingredients and mix them and then when its sticky its ready to put on a mold and refrigirate and then you have yummy maja blanca. Ingridients: 2 cups cornstarch 2 cups white sugar 1 big evaporated milk greaseless peanuts 50 grams 6 cups coconut milk Procedure: Mix all ingredients in the pot first, be sure that all ingredients are mixed well. Then if you are sure that its already mixed well, you can put it on slow fire and stir constantly. Then, after 10 mintues add the powedrered peanuts then continue stirring. Is its already sticky and hard to stir, remove from fire and pour to molds or containers sprinkle peanuts on top and refrigerate. Thats all, its so easy and I hope you will enjoy cooking maja. You can also use corn kernels instead of peanuts.

I make a pretty mean angel food cake. My mother taught me how to make it years ago and it is really good. I am good at cooking others too but the angel food cake is my favorite. Does anyone have any good cookie recipes? something other than your everyday chocolate chip cookies.

I like to make lemon squares. They're a layer of pastry topped with a layer of lemon jelly like stuff. They're pretty easy to make.

Apple pie, and any sort of cakes is what I am good at, I love making apple pie, and you can either make it from scratch which does not take long or you can cheat and use ready made pastry and make it even faster.

Hi Zelmarq, I think the dessert I am best at cooking is brownies. I have always made brownies from scratch without anyone ever showing me how to do it, etc. When I was 13 or 14 my aunt paid an unexpected visit and I was baking brownies that day. When they were done I gave her a square and she was surprised at how good they were and even more surprised that it wasn't from a box! My only regret that day is that I made a small batch cause I wasn't expecting company and she took about half of the batch to take for her daughter (who is one year younger than me)

hi zel. modesty aside, i make a delicious and tasty tiramisu and refrigerated cake. i've prepared both desserts on a number of occassions and everytime someone would comment how great both desserts tastes. right now, i'm trying to learn how to prepare moist chocolate cake and carrot cake. it might take awhile but i'm pretty confident that i'll be dishing out these goodies in no time at all.

Okay, I can't compete with your speciality. I'm just a regular person who likes to bake. I'm famous for my rice pudding, my chocolate chip cookies, my oatmeal cookies and my pumpkin bread. Oh, everyone loves my Carrot Cake and I love baking it! I like to bake brownies and ice cream. I read the directions on the box and 45 minutes later, I'm happy!

Well I worked in a dessert kitchen in a 4-star hotel. The hotel competed with the Ritz-Carlton. I loved working there and learned a lot about making all kinds of food, but I excelled at desserts. I love watching those extreme dessert challenge things on the food network, it gives me great ideas of how to incorporate things into every day desserts to make them special. Obviously I am not making a 3 ft tall ice cream sandwich or anything, but I love making caramel from scratch and flavoring it with coffee, strawberries, and other things. Im not sure I have a stregnth, but I've gotten the most compliments on my raspberry vanilla creme brulee and my loaded ice cream(homemade either chocolate or cheesecake ice cream with whatever you want in it like Coldstone creamery)

I also love watching food network shows and even the iron chef competition, I enjoy them all busy cooking and the best part is the tasing part where the judges taste them all with all those descriptions that would make one salivate.

Probably my most favorite Dessert to make would be Chocolate Truffles, but due to California's crazy weather and temperature changes, they turn out perfectly or.. well not so great. Ive learned to adapt the chocolate enough during cold weather, but when it is hot there is really not much I can do. =/
