Beware!
If you're uninsured, unregistered, have too many tickets, have a suspended licence, are driving a stolen car (not that any of us would) or any other problem with your car that would cause you to be flagged by Motor vehicles...or you have been involved in any crime...
YOU WILL GET PULLED OVER/FOUND IF YOU NEAR A CAR THAT HAS THIS SOFTWARE INSTALLED!!!
I know, because my husband got pulled over twice in the last month.
He got a variety of tickets, and could not figure out how the cop found him in a crowd.
The last officer stated, "I have a magic eye in my car."
Please, please, beware!

This is a Big Brother, 1984, insane (Facist, according to Hubbie, who was once a Peace officer) dangerous, horribly invading thing!
For instance: what if a woman was driving her boyfriend's car (and he'd been knocking down gas stations)? She might be seriously injured in a take-down. (This is Hubbie's take on it.)
I just don't know what to do...I'm so floored by this - that they have it in my area, and that from now on, no matter where you go, you will not be safe from being pursecuted for not having enough money to pay your bills/tickets.
Please, discuss!

That's unbelievable. I mean, in some cases it's a good thing, but in some it's not. I like your hubby's example, because that could happen. Although, I would like to think that if a cop was to pull her over she would pull over and the cop see who is driving. But we know that doesn't always happen. I will keep this in mind. I don't know if cops around here have that yet.

Thye have them in Nassau and Suffolk County, NY - and Suffolk County never buys new equipment, or tests anything - they're cheap, cheap, cheap - so if we have 'em, you've got 'em.
Look for the funny round or square things on top of their light displays!

Wow, I didn't realize that they could do that now! I haven't heard of that before, but I guess I shouldn't be too surprised with all the new technology that they keep coming up with. I have to agree with the above poster that it could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on the situation. Your husband made a really great point. Someone innocent could end up getting targeted by accident if there was a mixup like that. I don't think I have anything to worry about personally since I try to be really careful to stay up on insurance and registration and everything, but I can see how it could cause some problems in some situations.
