hello ppl,
i think microsoft windows 98 was very good.. i was very happy with it till XP hit the market..windows 98 was excellent in terms of user friendliness.. even a novice user could use it effectively..
but Xp has been hugely popular in the recent years..
and now with windows vista been introduced which one do you prefer the most..
i have no idea about linux because i have not used it at all..
what are your views on it???
cheers!!!

Stick with XP. Windows 98 always give u blue screen.Unstable and always hang. But XP is different story.Do you know that Microsoft want to stop selling Xp so that the can promote Vista?
Vista is a great product provided you have the pc resources. You need to get a new PC with a Pentium Core 2 processor. Memory at least 1 GB RAM is a must.
Many of those wonderful functions in Vista are irrelevant for us. Furthermore, new products are always unstable.Ladtly dun forget about the drivers. Many hardware have not developed vista drivers yet.For example, your existing printer might not work with Vista

sometimes I think the software and hardware company have a conspiracy. Normally the software company comes out with a product that demands higher spec of hardware. Then u need to upgrade ur hardware even though ur hardware is still OK.
Do we really need those new functions? Those functions are just design to tempt us to spend more.
Remember the time how fast DOS is? Do you have to wait for ages for DOS to boot up?

Well, I am quite comfortable with Vista, which is the operating system I use now. I have used 2000, 98, and XP too. Somehow, I have lost my heart to Vista currently.
Cheers!
