I'm in a strange position right now. Some days back, in April, my friend was out of money and he needed some for going on a date and for getting credit on his mobile( we have a prepaid system prefered in our country). Now, he came to me and asked for them and promised for returning them just as he gets some money.
Now, it's over a month and he tries to keep hiding from me. I asked him about the money because now I'm in need of the money and need some. I asked him and he just tried to act as if he did not even take it from me. He tries to delay it every time I ask and promises to give me the next day and the next day and the next day..... and it keeps going on.
It's really getting annoying for me as he is delaying it and I'm in need of the money right now. Mind it, he is a good friend of mine and I need the money quickly as possible too, now, yesterday I asked him for it and he said, " What money?" which made me ANGRY and I was near fighting him.
I'm in really confused over what should I do, I need someone's help. Please help me out here fellow mylotter's.
Have you ever been in such a condition? What did you do then? Please please tell me too, because I need help right now.

not much of a friend is he,best bet would be to confront him and say if you cant give all money back to me in one go could you give me some sort of payment as i am in trouble ,and that you dont want this to ruin our friendship. If he doesnt come forth with something, terminate your friendship and chalk it done to experience

Thanks for your comment.
Well, it's not like that he is not much of a friend but he is a good friend of mine. I want the money but I also don't want to terminate the friendship too.
I think that its time for some action, a serious one.

I understand how you feel because I had been to similar situation many times. Now, I have learned my lessons not to lend any money. Someone told me that you can give what you can but don't expect that they will pay you back. If they do, it's good for you. If they don't, it's alright. This way, even if your friend doesn't pay, you are still friends.
I guess, it might be difficult for him to have money also. So i think you consider other options to have money. Your friend is not paying you as he promised. Get past it and never lend money again or your friendship will be jeopardized. This is just my opinion, you can have other options. Thank you for allowing me to respond to your discussion.

Thanks for the reply, I get what you said. I believe that might be the case he might not have the money. But he told me himself that he went on a date again this month and told me how he spent his money and when I reminded him of the money I lent him, this all happened.
I think I shouldn't now probably ask for the money or as you said our friendship would be jeopardized.
