Cash card machines - they hate me!

I've always had a love-affair with machines. Sometimes they don't work, other times they just break down on me. Just a few minutes ago, I was down at the laundry - it's laundry day today - and the machines run on cash cards. I was supposed to get a refund of 1.20 CHF on the washing so I did was what written on the instructions. Put in the card and press the refund button. I do just that and before I know it, the card goes on an error mode and then when I insert it again, it proceeds to deduct 3 CHF from my card!!!!!!!!!!! So instead of getting a refund, I ended up paying 3 CHF for nothing! Omigod. I could have kicked the damn machine. And this isn't the first time it has done this to me. Y'know what's the best part? My hubby never has this problem. EVER. ... Does anyone else have a love-affair with machines or any stories to share about their machine mishaps?
