Cash card machines - they hate me!

I always hate this love-hate affair with machines. Sometimes they work just great, other times they just break down on me.
Like today...
It's laundry day and the laundry machines run on cash cards. I was supposed to get a refund of 1.20 CHF for each washing load. The first load went fine...then came the second load. The instructions were pretty simple - insert the cash card and press this button. Fine, I do just that and before I know it, the machine goes on error mode and prompts me to remove my card and re-insert it. When I do that, it then proceeds to deduct 3 CHF from my card.
That means I just paid 3 CHF for washing that I didn't need to do.
ARGH! I could have just kicked the machine. This isn't the first time it has done this...and the best part is this - when my hubby does the laundry, he never has to face this problem. EVER.

Anyway, anyone with a love-hate affair with machines or similar machine-mishaps to share?

Grrrr..cash card machines are a real pain.I use a cash card for my bank,and on two occasions i have put the wrong pin in,and the automatic machine has swallowed my card!!Ive run into the bank to ask for my card back,the girls in the bank know me,but as they say once the card has been swallowed theres nothing that they can do,then you have to wait until it gets re issued to you,which takes a few days,...so annoying!!
