Politics holding us back as well as lack of funds

Well, I am the local goat lady. I dream of starting a dairy goat farm, where we make the products on site, and employ persons with disabilities, thus creating a therapeutic job that is needed. We have goats, chickens, ducks, cats & dogs, as well as our 4 children. We lack - land, money to buy it, yes hubby works a good job, but we are digging out from a move, and from his old employer, who messed with the paycheque, which has cost us our credit, so we won't even qualify for loans at the moment. Our oldest goes off to college next year, don't know how we are going to pay for it yet. ~I did the start your own business course, I tried for local grants, got absolutely nowhere, as the area I am in does nothing to encourage local produce, and would rather see big industry, and help them. I got banned from all our local women in business meetings, classes etc, because I basically asked too many questions. Yet we are paying taxes. The local paper reported two weeks ago that our county was the lowest in the country for start up biz, - not surprised! I've joined Aidpage, thebeggarsclub.com, and gotten nowhere yet. Oh yeah - the thing that got me banned - I sent a survey around the country to each enterprise board Asking (mind you this is public record) what types of grants were given in 2007, what types of companies, what kind of products how much, and I asked how many were women owned, how much did they get, and what type of products. I got an angry phone call.
Do you we should have to pay off politicians, should I keep fighting the fight against these people - or do I leave them alone. I have a chance to shame the local board, should I?
