feeling sleepy in the middle of work

i think all of us ever have the experience of feeling sleepy a lots in the middle of work. so i just wondering what kind tips that you have to overcome it?
do you take a break a while and leave your desk? or taking a glass coffee then back to your work? or anything else?
for me, i will take a glass of cool water and visiting mylot for a while before i back to my work. perhaps about 10 or 15 minutes and so far it works well with me.
how about you then?

sometimes i feel like dozing off after lunch. or if i'm done with my work and have some free time then i really do feel like sleeping. but i guess that's not an option haha. most of the time listening to music and chatting with friends help me get thru it so i won't feel so sleepy anymore. sometimes if i really cannot stand it i'll just clothes my eyes for a while hehe.

What I would do when I am sleepy at work is to stand up from my chair, stretch out!!! walk around, look at the green things outside and drink a glass or 2 glasses of water. Standing and walking around for few minutes would help a lot. some other times, talking to friends with funny topics would help overcome being sleepy at work.

It is very strange that sometimes the coffee doesn't help me for me to get away the sleepy feeling. However, I may become sleepless at night in the bedtime. Sometimes I will go to the lady's room and close my eyes for a while. Then I will be back to work again.

Well; sometimes I too do feel sleepy in the middle of work .
However;too much of it is not good.One way could be take a re-look at our sleeping patterns .Sleep properly at Night .
Or take Tea or Coffee sometimes to counter the sleep .
Short walks also do help .

hahhaha it happens to me several times specially when i slept late the night before or when the weather is cold.. it does make me sleepy i am actually starting to daydream about my bed hehee usually when that happens i drink coffee that would be enough to wake me up until evening.

i was ..when im working full time...what i did was just eat some peanuts and it works when my mouth was busyor just drank some coffee..

Cold water is good and also a little walk around. Actually I am a bit sleep right now and have quite a few e-mails to dispatch before bedtime, so I got one of my favorite pick-me-ups:
A few ice cubes in a glass and pour over that 1/3 seltzer water, 1/3 lemon soda, and 1/3 lemon soda. That is what I am drinking now.

I am not sure about if i would get sleepy in the middle of work. For me, I have to look directely onto the computer screen for almost eight hours. Because i have so many things to do, i haven't even much time to feel sleepy. i usually take a short walk outside our office building. But the warm sunshine often put me into a sleepy position until i am back to the computer.

Yes, I do especially when I am in graveyard shift. I fell asleep in the middle of my work for about 30 minutes. My co-workers woke me up lolz.

well i normally drink coffee before my shifts starts but incase that coffee can';t keep me awake, i'll try to search something from the net and post on some discussions here at mylot.

It's the same to me,I would be sleepy especially after lunch,usually I'd like to sleep a while.But when I'm working,I tend to do something else or have some snack,and this can change our mind to another.Later I will recover my energy.

yes, definitely we have that experience at least once in our lives. for me, i too take a glass of water too clear my head. but what works for me best is when i go and wash my face especially my eyes. i feel more alert then. just splashing my face with water and wiping it gives me a fresh feeling and it's enough to keep me awake.

I always have the same experience. However, i think i am a little bit lucky.
Because, one of my workmates is a attractvie beauty. When i am tired during my work
, i am going to talk to that girl. it is amzing.
