I have a female office mate who just recently made a really rude action against me. We were friends at first Because I really did everything just to get along with her since I was the newest addition to the office, about a month after she got in. I respect her a lot coz she's older than me and I thought she was more mature and knowledgeable on certain things. I also did the same nice things to my other office mates even jut the ordinary employees. So, I never had any problem with any of them. But as a few months passed I noticed her slightly different behavior towards our subordinates and even to our senior bosses. She' aloof and too snobbish on a lot of things especially on food. She doesn't eat anything that is sea food because, according to her, they are smelly. but still I managed to keep cool and be nice to her. But at the turn of the year, she has gone really worse. She would order me around like some top boss and snob my comments on a lot of things. Even our subordinates really hate her, as what they always tell me. And just a couple of days ago, while she was at our higher unit office, she told very single employee that I am such a boot-licker that's why the bosses like me and turn to me for almost all things. I remembered, recently she just got relieved from her other position and was transfered to another one without her knowledge. And I took over her previous position. Anyway, the employees from our higher unit, out of concern and sympathy for me as they told me, reported to me what she just did. Surprisingly, I wasn't upset coz the employees didn't believe her. I am really wondering why she attacked me that way. She could have just told me straight what she thought of me. I really feel bad coz I respected her and looked up to her. But I also learned from her previous workplace that she was also hated at that office. If this happened to you, what would you do? I really need lots of advices on this issue because I don't think I could continue being nice to her from this very moment. Thank A lot guys!!!
