I'll give a real answer to this. The star is called our user reputation. We all receive it when we reach 100 posts. Other users rate our posts with +'s and/or -'s and that is how our reputation is formulated.
The stars range from 1-10 with 10 being the highest. Each number has it's own color but the colors don't mean anything separate from the number...it's no different that the traditional colors for awards ribbons, blue for first place red for second place and so on.
You have a 9 star and that is good! Depending on what browser you use, you can hover your mouse over your star to see where you are on a scale of 100. Like mine for example... I have a 10 star and a 96/100.

9 means you are one away from perfection - and if you believe that you will believe anything. haha
The stars are the sort of thing you got in kindergarden school when you were very, very good! They really mean absolutely nothing.
Much, much more to the point is that you have reached your centuary. Congratulations!! Another 500 or 600 posts and you will reach payout.
I read here that some members are making 1000 posts a month. Busy fingers!

smacksman...some peope make payout with much fewer than 600-700 posts. Be careful to not mislead new and curious members.

Do they now? Well that's great. What is the latest figure?
And back to the topic - sorry I didn't make myself clear. 10 is tops.

Stars and ratings go up and down like a yoyo here, so for you to have a 9 you are doing ok.
