Would you fish it out?

Suppose you dropped a $100 bill in the bowl of a public toilet, would you fish it out?
I was changing channels just a few seconds ago and I came across a certain show, I think a movie on cable. In that particular scene, a lady was in a public toilet and while looking for a tissue inside her bag, she accidentally dropped a $100 bill in the toilet bowl. Well, to cut the long story short, she fished it out!
I don't think that I would be able to do that. It is a hundred dollar bill alright... but it is still a public toilet bowl for pete's sake!

It is funny you posted this discussion as just last week a friend came to me and said he fished money out of the urinal in the pub for the first time. He was doing his business and saw a folded $20 in the urinal, he put his shoe on it and moved it a bit a saw a $50 folded in with it and another $20. That was enough for him so he picked the bills up very carefully by the corner and threw them in the sink and washed them with soap and warm water then carefully folded them up and put them in his pocket. After they had dried a bit he bought his friends a few drinks. I think for $100 I may be willing to fish.

But did he buy a round of drinks on the proceeds?
That story has a sort of circular justice about it. haha Peeing money up the wall, as they say!

Yes, I would pick it up! Don't most public restrooms have sinks to wash your hands? I mean, $100 would pay a month's electric bill at my house!
A somewhat related story:
A couple weeks ago my friend was visiting my house and when she stood up off my toilet her cell phone fell out of her hoodie pocket into the water! Of course she fished it out right away but wasn't too thrilled about it. I told her the only thing worse than dropping your phone in your own toilet would be to drop it in someone else's. At least she's lucky that she hadn't flushed yet and her phone still works! BTW, she stopped carrying her phone in her hoodie.

Of course I would - it's my $100 bill and i'm not going to let whatever is in the toilet get the best of me LOL I'll fish it out and rinse it off and probably dry it under the hand dryer, if there is one, and then go and spend it lol

I know I would fish it out. Unfortunately I can't afford to leave a hundred dollar bill in the toilet bowl or flush it down the drain either!
In order to fish it out I would look for something to fish it out with rather than using my hand. Also, if I am lucky maybe it'd still be floating on the water by the time I react to it falling in there so maybe there'll be a piece that missed the water that was still dry! (If it's folded or crumpled*I usually have my money folded*) I'd do like many others here and give it a good wash and then give my hands an extra good washing! I would be reluctant to fish it out if there was...poo... in there but then again, people don't really use a public toilet when there is poo from the previous user still in there, they look for a next one (or at least I do)

When you have had to clean as many drains as I have you wouldn't hesitate to fish it out and give it, and your hands, a wash.
Come on. It's only sh*t and p*ss for heaven's sake! Have you not changed your baby's nappy? haha

yea,i would,but i wouldn't like it..
$100 is too much to just leave there.i would attempt to find something to fish it out with first before i put my hand in there though.

$100 is something. If the public toilet is clean and the dirt inside is mine and the money is still there why not. But if its too dirty, Ill dont take it.

I would. I would need that $100 bill and, you could wash it and then wash your hands really well. And, I never use a toilet that has someone else's leftovers in it so, the toilet would have been flushed previous to me using it so, it would only be my filth. Plus, it is said that flushed toilet water is actually cleaner than people think and, if you were desperate enough, you could drink the water from a toilet bowl. Of course, that is assuming that the public restroom is cleaned daily and properly as, most public toilets that I would be visiting are. So, yes! I would fish it out, rush it to the sink, drown it in soap and water, grab a paper towl to wrap it up in, put it in a safe place until I could get a bad to wrap it in until I got home, and, I would wash my hands until there was not a trace of what I just did on them.
Yes! It is gross but, the money can be cleaned and so can your hands.

Well I know I would be fishing it out, I can always wash and sanitize my hands. But a $100.00 is not so easy to replace in my mind. Besides I use to a a nurses aid, plus had 3 babies. So for me it would not be like I have never touched poop before. Believe me, I think I could handle fishing for the $100.00

IT'S A FREAKING $100 BILL!! I'd fish it out. XD Maybe look for something to wrap my hands around with. Or just simply pretend you're doing an easy job and with it you instantly gain $100. All you have to do is wash your hand 242342342 times after you dipped it inside the public toilet anyways. I mean come one, have you forgotten how what you can buy with $100? Right?
That be all.

I'm sorry but I would have gone after it. That's soap and water is made for!!! If I would have dropped a dollar in the public toilet I wouldn't have thought twice about going after it, let alone $100!!! I have exactly no money to waste so if that happened to me, my hand would have been the next thing to go in that toilet post haste!

I'm squeamish, so I would yell for my spouse
to come into the lady's room and fish out
the offensive money from the toilet.
He would most likely use
an empty toilet paper roll to get the
money out.
He's an inventive guy and frugal!
I'm frugal but don't like public toilets
so I'd probably never be in that situation.
