I have been couped up in the house too long. gardening has been slow due to the cold etc so that's not helping much. Can't afford the casino at the time. I am getting irate and irritablew as hell and want to/need to, get away for a day or so. It's not weasy as I have my father living here and need to be arouind in case he falls. he is too lazy to even use the phone if he did fall on his own. hell he had a stroke in his driveway and laid there till someone came. he had a cell phone on him at the time. Anyhow I nneed and want out. A movie alone would even be great but wheres the cash? Hell I'd love being able to drive to the A.A. club even but gas is low and the cost is too much lately. I know, wahhhh wahhh wahhhh! Do you ever get cranky, irritable when you get couped up too long?

Wahh, Wahhh, Wahh, we all get the way sometimes. Its called cabin fever. Spring is coming, its just taking its time. It seems everyone is being grounded these days with the high cost of gas, no one can afford to go anywhere. Keep your chin up, this won't last. Just think you have all of us here on mylot, to listen to you whine and offer you sympathy. Lucky you.

I tend to cope fine inside for a long time. There is a lot I can occupy myself with. As it is, on school days, I have to be out everyday taking Bianca to school. Then I am out taking her to swimming training. If it is the school holidays, I find plenty to do. My husband though tends to get like you. He doesn't like being cooped up inside for any great length of time. He takes us on drives if he gets this way, which is fine by me. Like you, our petrol is getting to a ridiculous cost. Over the past two weeks it has gone up to $1.55.9 per litre. This is going to severely limit peoples outings.

yeah being cooped inside gets boring and stressful quickly. I used to just hop in the car and go for a liesurely cruise but not anymore with the gas so costly. I walked yesterday, rode the bike, walked Buster and yet I still feel the need to GET OUT. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

There are times when I simply have to get out of the house to keep my sanity intact. LOL Yeah, i get bored and a bit irritable when I get couped in the house for too long. Watching tv and typing on my computer usually do not work when I am bored so I have to get out and take a walk.

Aaaah so this is what your lovely daughter meant when she said you were being cranky! Aww AGB I think most of us get that way sometimes! I know I get stir crazy as i am stuck in the house more than 90% of the time because of the pain I am in and cos I can't get around very well - I hate depending on others and that I cannot just get out of the house more often but I got a special electric armchair last week that means I no longer have to spend the majority of my time lying down totally flat and I feel much better for it! Hope you get out soon and that you feel better! Hugs xxx

Yes I get very cranky! I try to get out daily even if its just for a walk or something. But as like you gas is so crazy I have to think before I even go somewhere. Or I have to buddy up with someone. Its unreal. And so scary that gas will be four dollars before we know it! Do you like to read? Maybe a trip to the library would be nice?Thats what I do its cheap and pleasureable!

I walk but that's not the same as "getting" out really. I've so much readiong material here. It's just the fact that I am in the house WAY too much. Thanks.

Yes I do. Mom lives with us and she is 81 y/o. She has a lot of health problems and lately is getting confused too so I can't leave her alone for very long. Sometimes you just have to get out by yourself.

my honest opinion on this....Go camping...its relativly cheap if you just get the supplies you need..and you can get out of the house..or any boxed in space.. Your out in the open..In touch with yourself and in touch with Nature.Breathe.

All the time that's why I make sure I plan at least one day or two out of the house during the week and work in the weekends.

If I can't make it outside for my nightly walks, I eventually end up unbearable after a few days. Otherwise, I'm content being in the house or out in the garden.

Hi GRANDPA BOB! I do get cranky when I get couped up too long. I need to at least get out of the house once a week or I might go insane. But things are so expensive nowadays that I have to really think about what is important, my sanity or the food on the table! Life is so tough nowadays! Good thing, mylot is here for me! Take Care and Happy Mylotting!

I know exactly what you are talking about. I just started back work today, but I have been couped up for almost five months. Talk about going stir crazy. I was happy just to go check the mail! lol I tried not to get irriatable or agriviated at anyone, but sometimes that's hard to do.

Yes ,if you find you toolazy to walk and run it means that ,you should go out the room to relax yourself. for me ,i like go to the nature and rest for one day or two monthly, i think you will get more fitter and much more heathier
