Money is always being dropped on the street. Small change coins are very common - and I have even found notes.
Can you make a living by spending 8 hours wandering the streets looking for dropped change?
How much money do you think you could make? What would be the best places to look?
I'd imagine vending machines are good; I worked in a factory for a while, and there was always a lots of change under the machine!

That's an interesting concept.
I see alot of small change all over the place as well and I sometimes feel like saving them up and giving them to people who ask "for a help " or for some spare change. But I don't do it cause they wouldn't want that petty change (even though they are actually begging!)
I have found notes sometimes too, I just call it my lucky day when I do. Once I found almost a dollar worth of change. My grandpa has a habit to pick up those small change when he sees it. I only rarely do it myself.
To answer your questions exactly now...
* I don't think you would be able to make a living wandering the streets for spare change.
* Ok, let's assume you get desperate and it's your last resort. I feel that maybe you'll get $15.00 to $20.00 by the end of 8 hours if you are lucky that is.
* The supermarket. Here there is spare change laying around the parking lot, I feel you could easily collect a dollar in change with one sweep. After that you may need to wait to look again the next day though. Well so I feel anyway.
