Do you shop for clothes at second hand shops?

Thrift stores are my favorite places to shop for clothes. You don't know what you're going to find, and it's so inexpensive. I do it just to save money, also because it's pointless to buy brand new clothing for children. Kids are so rough on their clothes, and they grow so fast, if you buy new it's a waste of money. I'll buy new underwear and socks, and new shoes for them, but the only child who ever gets brand new clothes is the oldest, and that's only because I can save his clothes and pass them down to his 3 younger brothers, so I get tons of use out of it. I try to with used clothes to, if it survives that long.

I don't buy clothes at the second hand shops much. I usually buy something at the second hand shops like sunglasses, hats, etc...Sometimes I go to second hand shop when the first shops don't have size for me to wear.

Yes i do shop on second hand shops. When i received my salary every payday I make sure i will visit one of the second hand shop to see their new old item. Some of them are slightly use and you are so lucky if you see and buy it. When I dressed it is not important if the dress is a new one, what i value is if it comfort while wearing and really saves money.

Hi raydene! Yes, I do sometimes buy on second hand shops but at this time, I have not been doing any shopping because I am really on a very tight budget. haha.. About 98% of my wardrobe consists of clothes from "op shops". They're cheap, they're comfy and I almost always find a great bargain. My mum grew up shopping in them and as a result so did I. I have some new clothes, but going shopping in ordinary stores and the price tags just don't do it for me =)

I used to live in a city that had awesome consignment shops. The deals were outrageous! I live in a rural area now, but the Good Will has some really nice clothes. I bought eleven assorted clothing items and spent only $30. The clothes are like new. I've never seen a Good Will as nice as the one here. What a pleasant surprise!

I love to shop at second-hand and thrift stores. You can find some really nice clothes there for a great price. I don't buy used shoes either, they have to be new. I don't know why, I am just that way.

Well my clothes are hard to find because of my size and I never find them at second hand stores, but people either buy me clothes or give me second hand clothes so I am happy.

Hi raydene. I personally don't like shopping in general. And I don't like even more shopping at second hand shops. But my mother likes to shop at these shops for herself and for whole family too. She is a little obssesed about it;). So sometimes I receive a blouse bought in second hand store by my mother. When it comes to jeans, I hate used one. The same about shoes. cheerio, jazgottt.

I used to there was a great shop here when I was a teenager called Flip that sold a lot of 60's clothing and I loved it! I bought one of my favourite ever jackets there , it was a short tan suede leather jacket but cos it was used it was so soft and comfortable I never wanted to wear anything else! xxxx

I love to shop second hand, too. I haven't bought clothes in a long time, though. I have been having a hard time finding anything I like around here. I buy a lot of household items and other things, though. I think it's better to buy second hand and reuse than buy new!

I will buy sometimes at the second hand shops. Sometimes you can find brand new clothes from the expensive stores there for a lot less. Those places are the best to look.

I buy many of clothes from a local consignment shop. It's great because I get top name brand jeans for less than half the cost. I can buy Abercrombie jeans for 10 dollars (as opposed to over $50). And the consignment shop only takes clothes that are in excellent condition. Also I don't think many people know that this consignment store has clothes like that. It mostly sells home goods like china, furniture, decor, etc. But if you go upstairs into a little room they have it packed with awesome clothing. I have tried the thrift stores around town, but I never can seem to find my size, plus most of the clothing at the thrift stores has stains or rips on them. But I see nothing wrong with wearing and recycling used clothing, I think it's a wonderful and easy way to the help the environment.

I love shopping at vintage or second hand shops. It's really good because you get cheaper and more comfortable clothes, and often not many others will own the same clothes as you. But I like new shops too. It just depends on what your doing and your mood, I guess.

I don't think I could ever buy used clothing, no matter how poor or desperate I become. I'd very much rather wear very old clothes of mine, even if they're already 10 years old! LOL

I am always in second hand shops just lately, with having four kids they are perfect for getting the kids plenty of clothes, they are always ripping something or growing out of something and it costs a fortune to keep replacing so I go to these shops. The best part is that I always manage to pick up brand new bargains!!

I like shopping at used clothing-stores too. I usuallu shop for shorts coz I seldom find nice affordable shorts at the mall. Plus, I love the idea of wearing something nice yet so affordable. I wash them very carefully too. And I don't just buy in any stores. I choose ones recommended by friends and with nice-looking stalls.

I have never bought clothes at a second hand shop, but I do look on the internet for people that are selling stuff. I have yet to buy something but I am interested in buy something in the future.
