why do people care and help people?

I always help others because we were taught to respect the needs of others and to help when ever we can. I am so glad that my parents were the type of people who no matter how bad things were for us, they could always help someone else in need. God always seems to return the kindness more times over what we gave. I have taught my children the same thing and now my grandchildren. I hope each one of you feels the same

There is nothing better than the feeling of helping someone when you can. I suppose that is a selfish reason, to feel that feeling. I sometimes help people because it will get them out of my way, or because I can.. Why do I care? Because there may come a time when I need help, and if my karma is in good enough shape, then the help will be there for me. I believe in Karma, and know that what comes around goes around, so I prefer to keep things such that if and when I need, I won't have to look far for what it is I need.

because thats how they want to be treated by others.

its part of being human.....you just cant help but feel one's needs and sorrows....you just cant help it...thats how it is..even the stone-hearted people has this soft spot in them...
