For me, it's divine intervention plus responding the life circumstances and working through the thick and thin, good and difficult phases of life's transition.
Also the help of a supportive community of friends and love ones who is there to see me through.

I do think divine intervention plays a large role in shaping me as well.. without that, i would not have been where i am right now! Thanks for sharing =)

Everything and everyone in my life up til now has made me who I am today. I have my faith in God, my husband, my children, my loving family, the different friends I've met and made throughout my life and supportive teachers. Not one thing could've made me who I am but all of these in whole. I am very blessed!

What makes me "me" is the experiences I have in life. Pain, pleasure, hate, love. These are the things that shape a person. I do not beleive in God and I never have, even as a child. Despite being taught, I cannot believe in what I deem is "foolishness" however I respect everyone's right to beleive what they so desire.
I think my father has shaped me, too, in his absence. I haven't seen him since I was six and to be honest I cannot remember him at all. I think that shaped me to be untrusting and to always look on the darker side. Or was I always like that? Does that mean my genes make me what I am and what I feel and think are less important?
Another point is I'm a writer. I never choose to be a writer, it chose me. I never thought what I wanted to be when I grew up, I always knew. I've had goals and I've done many of them and the fire inside helps me reach those goals. I'm 25 and I've written three novels and now I'm getting them published.
But what creates that fire is passion.

I did a couple bad things when I was in school, but I also have 4 older sisters who got to do all the bad things as well... Learning from my own and there mistakes made me grow up quick when I graduated and moved out. Now Im a better person for it, and i know I dont want to get in trouble!

My husband and son, my special friends, God, and those who helped educate me in my formative years all made a contribution to make me what and who I am today. Many people I have met throughout the years have had some influence on me, good and bad of course, but my husband and son are the two who really keep me "grounded" and in touch with reality. :)
