What if given a change to decorate your own apartment?

well I could since this appartment came empty and I have had all my own furniture since 32 years. But I am not much of a decorator, I am very plain in my tastes. I wish I had the creative eye for decorating.

I will wanna decorate my own apartment if i have one myself.. I wun over decorate it to the extend of lavish.. INstead, i will opt for comfort rather than style.. Because home is a place that makes u the most comfortable. So wat's a house when it only looks stylish and nice but not comfortable at all?? hehe

I like to decorate so it would be fun for me!

I would like to have my own house someday. I will decorate it myself because I like decorating and so far, I got nice comments about my choices of decorations for my parents' house.

If I decorated my own place, it would be as plain as possible and nothing would ever get changed.

I will move to apt next week . And I really wanna I can decor it by many cute things . My dream apt is where I feel relax and warm when I go home . It should be a pink apt . I love pink color ^O^

Oh I am so glad I have a good landlord this time! He let me paint the color i wanted which made all the difference. I am so tired of having white walls! I just wish I could have had a new carpet, but he couldn't afford it. So I just got rugs to cover it up. But I have enjoyed decorating it. I got new (used) leather furniture that I found on ebay and it was local so we picked it up. (5 piece sectional w/ottoman! $500!!) Then I had to get curtains, lamps and wall art. Most of it I found at the thrift store in town, or my storage. Friends that haven't been over for a while, now walk in and say WOW! I have heard everything from- it looks like a fancy hotel, penthouse, hippy den, bus station(?),nightclub, or a family member said "just what I would expect from you, you've always been a little bent"(?)But I think I've almost accomplished a nice, comfortable, unique little place that I like! #:)

Yes dear, I would also love to start from the scratch. Mine has been handed over and it was our parents place. I cannot change much in this because of the sentiments. I want to change but my memories of each and everything will not allow me to. I don't know what to do. I am getting myself mentally ready to change some of the things at least. I am not sure of my husband, even though the things are of my parents, he is very sentimental. I think he made me just like him by telling me things like these. I want to change, I don't know if I'll be successful.

I wish that I had an eye for colours and decorating, I watch the programmes on tv and it amazes me what they can do to a room, how they totally change it and make it look beautiful. If I had to do it, it would just look a mess as I just have not got a clue!! I have not got a dream house as such, but what I have always wanted is patio doors leading off from the dining room onto the garden, so that in the good weather I could sit by the doors and eat my meals.

I long wanted to redecorate my room but didn't know how ot do it coz I have many things with me with little space. I know what I wanted and asked a student Interior Decorator one time for a sketch but she just took the idea I gave. It would not hurt to do it myself though and it will give me chance to learn a lot of things. Just a nice clean place and like to be minimalist with a bit of bold colors.
