Hello ,everyone ,I am from China ,My name's Joey .I want talk about my learning english problem at here today .I eager i can get some encourage and suggestion from you .I wil really appreciate .
I started to my first work when i graduated junior high school ,beacuse my family very destitution.my first job was a waiter in the five star hotel.i often met foreigner and service to them .Sometimes i saw my colleague communicate with foreigner guest by english .I 'm very admiring her ,I dream i can speak english well like her one day .I promise ,i need to start to learn english.but ,my english basic is not good .i don't know english grammar and i only know very little very simple vocabulary ,i try to lean english to myself ,i never gave up to learn ,but i always can't find a right way which was really becoming to me .I changed my english learning material many times ,still haven't got obvious progress .I just earn finite salary ,so i can't find a english teacher guidance to me .I felt quandary about my englsih learning way .contain this time ,i even no confidence to write down something at here ,I 'm afraid you don't understand .but i finally took breav first step to myself ,I hope ,all friends can give me some idea or comments .i also want make friends at here .really ,i do want i can speak english well .i hope everybody can help me .if someone interest our country ,i will try my best let you know all i know ,Hope everybody have good health and happy everyday .Thank you so much!!

I think you are doing ok, the more you post the better you will get, I think it is great that you want to learn english, I think posting in here and maybe watching english speaking movies and maybe hook up with other young Chinese people in here and you will be ok...good on you and I wish you well..

Hi Joey, nice to meet you and welcome to the mylot community! I hope your stay here so far has been a pleasant one. Anyway, I know a bit of Chinese/Mandarin so I can more or less figure out what you are trying to say. I know that most people from China tend to translate directly their language to English, and that makes those who are brought up with English confused with what they are trying to say. But I shouldn't stereotype because there are some Chinese people that are even better in English than some Westerners.
I really applaud and commend your bold move to come up with this post and your interest to learn English in a deeper manner. I just want to say that most people here on mylot are very helpful, and so if you really need help in improving your English, I am sure that many members here on mylot will be willing to help you out, because we people here on mylot are helpful and friendly people. I can help you out too, you just need to tell me what you want to learn and I'll try to help to the best of my ability. In the meantime, you can also surf along on mylot and just read posts made by others. You can really improve your English by just observing and analyzing how others structure their sentences etc. Your English will definitely improve by leaps and bounds once you've been here long enough.
I hope you will continue to find your stay on mylot a good one and I hope you will reach your goal of improving your English and meet many friends along the way! Take care and good luck!

Thank you very much for your so helpful advise and encourage .i 'm luck ,you understood my chinese style english many times,i want expression something to my friend ,but , no enough vocabulary to do that .For my job ,oral english is first important for me ,you give me a big encourage ,i will never never give up learning english.best wish for you !good luck

hi , budy. i was touched by your spirit of learning English . i think you must can get what you want to get if you keep it up. there is no a easy way to learn english . improving our English that just need us read more , speak more ,and write more. of course , mylot is a very nice place to help us . wish you success.

hi!!! i'm asian too. i'm from the philippines. well, you start reading english books as a start and look for it's meaning in a dictionary. and don't be ashamed of talking to people in english because that's a good way to practice. you should look for books about basic english grammar to... good luck
