Depending on how much free time you have, you could volunteer for some local charity. For instance, where I live there is a thrift shop that is owned by a church. Nearly all the workers there are volunteers, and give whatever time they have to help out.

There are several things you can do to enrich your college experience- do research with a professor, get a part-time student job, take advantage of internships and study abroad opportunities, join a student organization, volunteer, and the list is truly endless. If you are looking to go to graduate or professional school, doing research is an excellent way to get noticed and stand out from the crowd. A part-time student job can help you meet your expenses and develop a work history. Internships and study abroad may give you the opportunity to travel the world. Student organizations and volunteering are great resume-building activities and will help you meet people too!
Hope this helps!
