Are Mobile Phones safe.

On a recent TV show they set two mobile phones and hooked them up together and put an egg in between them, apparantly you can cook an egg in two hours this way...so are mobile phones safe, is it safe for people to even carry them in your top pocket near your heart..
So I thought I would check on the internet further and see if it had anything on this..well i think if it can do this then they are something that we need to be very careful with...here is a link for those who are interested...

Hi Lilaclady, the company that manufacturers them is www.exradia.com if you are interested. I got mine about a year ago as I have always been concerned about the side effects of mobile phones and dislike the fact that children of such young ages are using them all the time. That is quite scary!! I have just had a look at it and if they actually cooked an egg this way then it is very scary indeed. I do not actually use my mobile for calls, I am a texter, so I think I would be ok anyway, if I do talk on a mobile it is only for a few minutes at a time and not for ages.

Funnily enough I did think about that after, if it is only based on two phones on the sides of an egg as in opposed to a head, no one really does that. But still it is interesting and if I ever run out of gas at least I know I can still cook an egg!! Well, as long as I have 2 fully charged phones in the house.

I highly doubt that cell phones are safe, but I also doubt people will stop using them!

That's really scary! That will definitely make me review my mobile phone use, which is a lot at the moment! You do hear scare stories sometimes and then research says that they're harmless and the amount of radiation is miniscule, so I never know what to believe. But this kind of demonstration shows that we should be more wary of them. Thanks for telling us about it.

I was told off by a friend for carrying my mobile phone in my top pocket apparntly there is even radiation when they are not even being used and as she said I was carrying it near my heart..who knows....

i think in my opinion they are useful for us as well as harmful for us usefulk means we can contact any person at any time at his cell phone .he will be in contact with us .but at the same time they are harmful because many rays come out from the mobile it is not safe to keep it near your heart and it will be dangerous for ur life also we should keep in good place where they are not dangerous for us.

Mobile Phones are safe when it does not create much radiation.But nowadays china phones are dominating the market saying that they are creating much radiation the mobile phones are safe until they doesnt create much radiation if not it effects brain and may causes diseases

i haven't check it yet if mobile phones are really harmful and not safe to everyone.,coz if its not safe why people in a higher position allow us to use it.,? but anyway, i saw one of your respondent who answered to use angel battery.,haven't heard that of.,please share to us the details of that battery and where we could buy that.,im from manila, philippines and i hope that is available here.

I guess they are potentially dangerous, I only talk on my cell phone maybe once or twice a week for a moment or two. I do know that the cell phone signal towers are killing honey bees, which can be a huge problem since they are responsible for a lot of the polenation of plants.

i am not a techy person...but as far i know,,,it uses radation to have link with other phones and also for its signals..but as per the radiation if it is harmfree...that i am not sure..

I know mobile phones are not safe for our body.It can damage our body but still we are so used to of mobile that we can't tell ourself to not to use or keep it at some distance.
We are addicted to mobile phone. Now mobile companies are launching very good handset with lots of neww features so people are crazy about it they don't have time to think its side effect.
I have not seen this show i will watch when i am free.

even I have seen a video of cooking popcorn by putting 4 mobile phones around it
Mobile phones work on Microwaves so its like cooking yr food in microwave.

There has been quite a few different thoughts on the safety of mobile phones as they still do tests on them, and all a little scary especially if you use it the way some do! I have one but may use it for text mes. and the occasional call, but not enough to do me any harm.......I think!

they say they cause a lot of damage, but so does the microwave and sitting in front of the tv or computer all day long too, I think using a cell in moderation is not worse than anything else.

Lol, nothing is truly safe. 
I think we can lower the probability of something "bad" happening by buying original stuffs.
Say, if you want to get a Nokia phone, buy the original (battery too) and not some pirated thingies.
But really, if we are talking about phones in general, well, any electronic thingies are not entirely safe.

Seem like the people are finding more and more disadvantages of using the cell phone... i heard that using the cell phone very very often can lead to ear damage... and even cancer because of the waves that send messages... even texting is imparing how kids spell and write sentences... but for sure... more research should be done in order to prove all of these...

Yes, many people advise not to carry mobile phones in top pocket near heart as they may harm heart functioning. There were news in between that mobile phones produce harmful rays that affect our health so its better to carry it in a separate bag or purse instead of in pockets.

Yeah Its True The Excess Usage Of Anything Can Harm A Human Body i would suggest you if you are having cell phone and normally you are at home or office try to prefer landlines phone to have a call & Only prefere When You Are Out With Some Work Or Holidays Or On ROam Try To Call Only If its Urgent ..... Less Using Of Cell Phones More Your Kilometers Of Your Life Will Run In This Current Junkie World Where Now Average Human Life Span Have Came TO 60 Year :(
