The Greatest Present =D!

As some of you may know, my sister and I have been "plotting" our present for our mum this Mother's Day for some time, and today it was executed so much better than expected, with much more to come =)
Here's the run down:
My sister moved away a few months ago, down to Sydney (about 6-7 hours away by car) and we haven't seen much of her because of it, so we decided a few weeks ago on the phone one night that her and her best friend would make a road trip of it and come up today (Saturday, 1 day before Mother's Day) to surprise mum!
It's been so hard to keep a straight face and keep the secret, especially last night when mum and I were talking and she asked if I'd heard from my sister lately, and said how much she missed her and planned to call her some time today - boy I fought not to burst out with laughter and give the whole thing away =P
lol.
Anyway, sissy-poo arrived around 11am, walking into my mum's work and waiting to be the next "customer". Mum just burst into tears and started laughing and hugging her - apparently it was quite a scene. =)
Mum called me straight away: "I can't BELIEVE you kept this secret!" and so on - I'm so glad that it all worked out and that she was happy!
Then tonight we all had a big (and absolutely delicious) family dinner, with mum, myself, my sister, my boyfriend and our friend, and my sister's friend.
I'm still full from the meal now, 4 hours later! lol
The three of them (Mum, Sister & her friend) are currently out having a ball, and I'm looking forward to cooking a big breakfast/brunch in the morning and giving our gifts =D
I just thought I'd share this with everyone.
=)
I wish you all a happy Mother's Day and weekend in general!
Malyck.

Hey Bubba - what a great gift. And amazing that you kept the secret for soooooooo long. I would've loved to have suprised my mom that way with a visit from me and Snoogs. I'm still happily delighted that Mother's day is now my day too, deepening the meaning and making me appreciate my mom even more!

Is she a social butterfly - was she out and about visiting friends?
Have you ever had surprise like this - a birthday party or something?

Yeah, out and about with friends. Partying (at mum's expense, because she's a poor Uni student as yet to have a job in her new city).
I love her, but I hate the way she can treat mum...
No, I don't think I've ever had anything like that.
I usually like to give instructions for my own parties, let everyone know what I would like to happen =P

I'm so glad you're back!
Yeah, it was a really good surprise, we were all quite pleased with ourselves.
As usual, though, my sister spend about 2% of the weekend at home with us/mum
Did you have a lovely Mother's day??
I bet Snoogs is even more super cute now!

That's so cool, it's no wonder your Mum was thrilled.
A few years ago we turned up at my Grandmother's house in time for midnight at New Years. That was pretty good, but I've never surprised my parents like that. I guess I live too far away now to do it on a whim. Maybe one day ...

I love New Year's... or rather, I love the friends and atmosphere of New Year's celebrations, the reason for them is neither here nor there =P
Yes, maybe one day =)
I hope her good mood carries on to tomorrow, even if she does have a massive hang-over.
lol.
