When was the first time you got a driving ticket? I got my first one a few weeks ago... I don't know how it happened! I am usually a very cautious driver and never speed. The next thing I know I am being pulled over! I was going 77 in a 55... ouch. He only ticketed me for going 5 over though because I was driving on this stretch of road that is 55 between two 70 mph stretches... A LOT of people get tickets there...

Well sweety I drove from 17 til 37 and never got a speeding ticket yet! I am afraid I did get pulled over at 6am one morning (it was my birthday) and given a ticket for not wearing my seat belt but not for speeding! I think I was about 30 when I got that one! xxx

I had bought a car at an auction of police vehicles from a County Sheriffs here in Minnesota. After owning that vehicle for a few
years I ended up with 13 speeding tickets in a 4 year span.

You wouldn't get away with that here AGB, here you get 3 points on your license if you are caught speeding , these points last 5 years - if you accumulate more than 12 points your license is suspended! I wouldn't have liked to pay all the fines you must have had! have you slowed down now? Hugs xx

I have not yet, hope I never do. I am so careful about everything while driving. I always keep an eye on the speed limit signs, and go according to that limit. I never try to talk over phone while driving, every possible caution I take when I am behind the wheel. It's not only ticket but mainly for safety.

I've never received a driving ticket. I'm not a cautious driver and tend to drive a little too fast. Still, I try to be aware of speed limit signs and usually drive sometimes at least 10mph over it.
What drives me crazy though are drivers who drive below the speed limit. Now those are people who I think is a menace on the road.

Yes, it's dangerous to drive too slow on the express way...

Well, that's good. I was pulled over once because I had an expired license plate on my car still, but luckily I had the new one in my back seat and he let me go :P

I have never gotten a speeding ticket. That is probably because I have not driven a car in four years. I let my license expire and haven't gotten it renewed yet. I need to do that really soon. My mother in law got her first speeding ticket (she is 55) ever just a couple of months ago.

I have never got a driving ticket thank God. I have been through many road blocks though. I have also been pulled over a few times also but got very lucky not to get a ticket. I deserved to get one a couple of times though. I have been very lucky about that.

Think I was 18 when I got my first ticket and had 2 suspentions by the time I was 20 cause my lead foot and 'stang went hand in hand with tickets. Since giving birth to my daughter 10 yrs. ago, I've slowed down quite a bit and often have ppl passing me cause I'm actually going the speed limit instead of 20 miles over.

I am 43 and have never had a ticket, not even a parking violaton. Now that doesn't mean I didn't deserve a ticket a time or two. I've been pulled over 5 times, all but one for speeding, but for some reason, I've never received a ticket.
Sorry you got a ticket. I hate those sneaky roads like that! We have one here too, on the way to my daughter's house and I always catch myself going way to fast, not noticing the speed limit change.

I had had a totally clean licence up until 2003(over 20 years of driving) and then suddenly I received two speeding tickets a month apart. This was when speed cameras suddenly had a population boom in the UK. I don't drive fast I tend to stick to the speed limit but they had positioned these cameras on a down hill secction of road where you tend to spend up slightly even if doing just the limit. I now have points on my licence because of it and had to pay two £60 fines. However someone that is banned in this country for drink driving doesn't get points put on theirs as they get banned but have a clean licence after. Crazy really. Ellie :D

My first one was in the first year after I got my license. I was only 17. I have not had a ticket in over 10 years, and the last time I got one it had been 10 years since that one. I was doing 40 in a 30 mile an hour zone. I was so angry because I was not purposely speeding. I actually thought the speed limit was 40, I was upset that the officer did not even give me some sort of a warning.

I got my first speeding ticket on Ft. Bragg army base in North Carolina. We were on the way to see my son in the hospital. He was a preemie and had just been born the week before. I admitt I had my mind on seeing him, worrying about him, more than driving.
They didn't put the ticket on my record because I agreed to go to a driving class..lol.

That is easy to answer, never, because I do not know how to drive. I never owned a car in my life. My son does not know how to drive either. We never could afford a car.

I've had my license for 4 years and I haven't had a ticket yet! I've been lucky. I try to drive cautiously and always observing speed limits and what not but I know I've caught myself out going over the limit by 10ks and I've thought to myself that if there were cops around I'd be tcketed so you've gotta be very careful.

I never got a ticket, strangely. These days I do not drive, but I drove a lot the first 10 years after I got my license. I used to drive very fast. I sort of got the same feeling driving as when playing computer games. Not good at all. I was only stopped once. That was by the police academy. They were doing a (well, I cannot think of the word) test to see if people were drinking and driving. I was not. But I had three very drunk people in my car. They made me leave pretty quickly. They did not apreciate my passangers jokes and stories + the car reeked as they had broken a bottle og whisky in tha back.
