Still want to fullfill your dreams?

Is there something you still want to be, or try. I'm not talking about a "bucket list" but rather something you've always wanted to do but now you have other obligations. I'll start the confession, for lack of a better word. I've always wanted to do stand up comedy, there I said it, now am I going to do anything about it? Maybe, I've been writing some stuff and someday I'll get the nerve to get up on stage during an amateur hour. Don't laugh at my dream, oh wait, do laugh, I'm so confused.

Life is short. There are lots of things I want to do too, I think about them but never push it to its completion. I have this idea of this really sweet resturant/bar, about writing a book, create my own internet based variety show and bench press 300 pounds. It is almost like these 'dreams' recycle until I lose interest in them and I move on. Hmm. I wonder if it just some strange form of ADD or something.
Do have a routine for your act? Ever think about recording it and watching it later with a couple of friends to give you pointers? It would be so much fun to do stand up! Just do it! Lifr is way too short.

I don't have a routine, but I've memorized it. I always add things to it because I see humor in everything so its a work in progress. With all the information I have I would need to go on tour. Bench 300 huh? I've written some children's stories and I'm writing some books too. If you open your eatery I'll support it.

Can you imagine the roar of the crowd as you pull off your act? Isn't that just the most wonderful feeling in the world? When is the next amatuer night? What is stopping you from getting on stage?
As a teacher, my career started out rocky but now it is very easy to talk in front of a crowd. The same will be the same for you...a littl tough at first but as you get better it will be just 'another day at the office'. Easy!
As I take on things I shut my eyes and 'see' it. It helps to get up in the morning just sitting there and 'looking' at what will be accomplished that day. When I do it, it feels as though is was already done before I started! Probably sounds a little weird but maybe it may help you get started. If (I mean 'when') you ever make it big...I hope you will send me a ticket to your show!

I use myLot for all sorts of ideas, they spring from conversations or ideas I get from reading responses. Best of in getting published, I'll buy your book(s) when they get to the bookstores.

Noone can live without dream. Small or big everyone has dream or dreams. Because of our dreams we are active & not bored in our lives. We may or maynot complite our dream but must not stop our efforts.

So true! I wake up with dreams and when I sleep... I dream. Sometimes we put our dreams down but then we pick them up when we can fullfill them.

i have always wanted to be an actor. not necessarily on tv or anything but even just in plays locally would be fine. i may pursue it when my son is grown and i have lots of time on my hands.

That would be fun to do. I've acted in a few plays at church but nothing past that, I would probably forget my lines. I'll look for you "off broadway" Mmmm K?

If we don't have dreams, we are missing out on life. Dreams can help to motivate us to do something we've always wanted to do and get that sense of achievement which feels so good!
I always wanted to go back to college to further my career - and last week, I enrolled for a course I've always wanted to do - and I am no spring chicken! I feel good because I've done it!
Another one of my dreams is to become financially secure, and I am working on it presently! The dream motivates me into action, and without that, we will remain static and things wont change, right?
I say follow your dreams gitfiddleplayer!

I went back to college at 37 and got my B.A. So it can be done. Our family is working on being debt free with the emphasis on FREE. I usually write down my goals so when I meet them I can mark them off with delight. I even make lists at home so I can accomplish the little things so the big things become more obtainable. Dreams are great, it shows that we still have something in us to achieve.
