I am teacher in the United States and would love to exchange ideas with other teachers in other countries! It is always interesting to hear about other cultures! But what if we could actually learn about each other and share the idea with our own students! If you are a teacher or know of one please contact me! Thank you!

Hi! It's great to share ideas about teaching from different cultures/countries. I am an English teacher from the Philippines. I am teaching English as a Second Language here in China. At the beginning it was kinda difficult to mingle and make friends with the students and the people around because of communication barrier: they can't speak English and I can't speak Chinese. But since the Chinese are friendly, there is always a way to communicate until I learned how to speak, though not fluent. The students are amazing. =)

Would you like to exchange some information to share with our students...maybe something as simple as local newspapers? I could send you a newspaper from the States in English and you could send me one that is Chinese. It would be so sweet to learn more about your area and your culture!
What would you be interested in exchanging? What information could I trade with you?

I think it would be great to send you something local like our city newspaper as well as something more regional like the Detroit News that way you can get more or a taste of the area.
How about other ideas like candy? I think my kids would get a kick out of seeing candy with a different language on it! Could we have someone record a common story (like "Three little Pigs') or something for others to hear?
I think this would be so great! Let me know what you think! My school year ends June 12th but that doesn't mean we can't exchange during the summer to get ready for the new school year! :-)

Trading would be great! The newspapers here are all in Chinese language. An English newspaper specially from the United States of America will be very appreciated. What newspaper would you like? For my students, a newspaper with a topic about students too, so that they can relate to the stories or articles inside it. Thanks! I'm excited =)

Yes, It's a good idea to share teaching ideas. What are you teaching in your school? I am teaching probability and mathematical statistics. My students said it is very hard to learn. I don't know how to make it easier to learn but to encourage them to take more time on the subject. But the effection is very bad.

I teach fifth graders (ages 10-11) in an elementary setting, everything but science (my partner does that). Mathematics and Social Studies has to be my favorite! As the school year is coming to an end (about 23 days left) I am doing a thematic unit on the British Colonies and how it became (what is now) the United States.
I created an awesome technique in math that allows the students to learn more and get further during the school year but, sadly, I have some students that do not value education. How sad is that?
Tell me about your school! I am very interested in how things work in China!
