I have internet explorer in my PC and I use it to browse the Internet. I noticed that some viruses enters my PC through this browser. My home page got hi-jacked and there is a toolbar that appeared. Share your thoughts regarding IE. Thanks.

IE is still the most used and longest reigning browser in the internet to date. Its update is not that frequent giving the hackers enough opportunity to study it, exploit it and the best medium to spread their malwares. It is wrong to think that IE is the only target of this malwares, all browsers if not protected can be infected.

Let's see if I can write this simple enough to understand. Hopefully so. I preferred Internet Explorer for a long time, until actually earning about computers, the internet, and viruses. IE is written in such a way that it makes it easy to change. This was originally done so that if graphics and content needed to change, it could be done easily. What actually happened is that hackers and others gained access to the html codes and have corrupted some of them. While IE has a team that goes through and tried to destroy these viruses, the hackers can write them and implement them much faster than people can find them. That's why I use Mozilla Firefox, it has greater controls on content and firewall protection.
