It is a common talk here that the Auto and cab drivers are not polite

Hi balasri-Itend to agree that it is how you are towards the driver as to wether he will be rude or polite. In my case I have never come across any rude cab driver guess cos I try to be polite and generally have a chat with them-littleowl

I have met some cab drivers that are the most rude people that I have ever met... bordering on mean... and there others that have been great to me. Of course the ones that go out of their way to be nice are the ones that get the nice tip when I get where I am going~! Thanks Zelo

It's been years since I've been in a cab. Last time I rode in one the driver was friendly. Sometimes I find a passenger has to initiate a conversation with the driver. My only issue with cab drivers is they drive way too fast and weave in and out of traffic. This makes me a basket case. I'd rather get on the floor of the back seat and ride with my eyes closed...lol

I'm not really sure about that. I get rudeness from people no matter where I go or no matter what I do. I try to be nice and polite to everyone but it never comes back to me. All that I ever get is rudeness from others the majority of the time. I think alot of people ask to be treated that way though, but I sure the heck don't!

Cab drivers are only human, just like you and I. If someone is rude or ignorant to them then they will retaliate the very same way. Any cab drivers that I have ever met have been very nice and very friendly and very helpful. :-)

it is just bcoz of our superior tpye of feeling toward the cab driver or the auto driver make them rude towards us we always think ourselves to be cheated so we dont trust and make them go a wrong way of rudeness with us!!!!!

It's only once or twice that auto drivers have been rude to me. Most of them are very polite with me. And I've never experienced a case of cab drivers being rude to me.

The type of behavior that I noticed all the time is that they are very quiet ,but I don't find this rude. I usually have a good experience with cab drivers.

Hi bala. I've had different experiences with cab drivers. Some were slightly rude despite the fact that I've done nothing wrong to receive that kind of treatment. And some gives their passengers a kind of royal treatment. You're right though. Do unto others what you want others to do unto you. But sometimes, even if you're doing the right thing, rudeness still comes our way. I guess, to be fair to some cab drivers who acts rudely, they might not be having a nice day. And being polite is temporarily at the bottom of their "to-do" list.

I not sure about that, but I do ccme across cab drivers that are really rude. When I bored the cab and tell him where I'm going, he start the cab and stop at a traffic light and asked me to get down and wait for any cab in a very rude way and its not even a 5 minutes ride and we did not even say a thing yet.

Hello,balasri!No,the statement is wrong,instead the auto drivers or cab drivers are well behaved and polite towards the passengers.there is no reason for them to be rude or impolite towards the passengers.but one thing i must clear you that as you sow,so you reap.thanx.
