when you say some trifle to youry boyfriend,how will he respond

when this happens to me. my boyfriend will say some somenthing that he thinks that worth talking about, if he doesn't think so , he will give no respond. so sometimes ,it will be a difficult for me to be generous in this case, i may feel being neglected
