I have been more than two months without TV.Can't you imagine that? I haven't watched TV since I came to my college.I can hardly see one TV set in my college. And I have my computer,so I can get information from the Internet. And more, watching films,TV series. It seems that a TV set is not that necessary.

And how are you surviving? I could never do that. I might as well be in the dark listening to the sound of my own voice. Kudos to you. There are things in my life I could not live without; my TV, my DVD player and my computer. If those were taken away from me, I would freak. Most of my creative skills are a part of the computer. My interest is mostly in film, so having my TV set taken away would be tragic.

Good for you. I wish I could get away from the TV,but i think I would have withdrawal symptoms. I feel uncomfortable if the TV is off too long.

hey, you know i love to watch cricket and you must be knowing about the IPL matches being played in India. Since i dont have Tv i am not able to watch it. But this is the life you need to learn to adjust. Anyways after few dadys you will be adjusted. Actually when i was in hostel we had TV in our Mess. So used to eatch it every evening. If you want try using TV tuner card in your computer in order to watch TV.

Haha, when I started college, the longest time I have been without TV was about 6 months I think! On top of that, the only internet access I had during my college years was at the college computer pool; I don't even have internet at home! And on top of that, I'm still surviving! Yeah, TV is not really a necessity actually, but when we have it in front of us we are just so tempted to watch it. Now that I'm studying in university overseas, I also have a TV at home but I think I've skipped watching TV since 1 month ago. That shows that with so-called "discipline" (ahem...), even with the presence of TV a person can still avoid watching it!
