Oh yes my husband does but most of the time upon my request and that really irritates me. Sometime I feel why don't he have any initiative in doing so. I don't like instructing over and over again. Is this what most man are like?

Hi, I face the same situation. But my BF will do as soon as I ask him to. I'm also feel irritated that he never does anything intiatively.

Yes my partner does and helps in some housework whenever he is at home. He cleans the floor, wash dishes. Sometimes he would cook too, barbecue and grilled meat or fish is his forte. Its nice that some hubby knows how to share responsibility with housework to help the wife.

Yes, you're right. It is not important how much he has done. What important is that he can get himself involved with housework and share the responsibility! My BF also washes dishes for me at weekend.

My husband will vaccuum once in awhile but that is about it. He will not do dishes or cook or clean the bathroom or anything like that. I am a stay at home mom and my husband works 12 to 13 hours a day so I do not expect him to have to do housework. Now if he didn't have a job he could clean away.

Hi,I think that a lot of partners wil help each other out nowadays...as maybe both of them work ,theres no shame in sharing jobs these days.My hubby was brought up when it was all known as a womans work ..the cleaning..but as our family have grown up and left home he will willingly do anything to help out.He vacuums and dusts and washes up...the only thing that hes not too good at it the laundry...but lol he will peg it out!!I really think the days of macho men not helping out at al l are now behing us,and its makes for a better relationship if both partners pull their weight.Mind you saying that when our kids were teenagers, well the mess was amazing lol..im not too sure that he would have been quite so willing then!!

Occasionally, my hubby helps out with the dishes, laundry (keeping them only coz our laundry slot is Friday morning - Swiss system), and some general cleaning. But that's if I am in a foul mood and he wants to be sweet, nice, etc, etc. Otherwise, I do the dusting, vacuuming, moping, laundry, cooking, wash the bathroom & toilet, tidying up the place (arranging stuff, putting away things), dishes, etc, etc... I usually try to get him to help around the house because he has mentioned that he doesn't mind helping but only on weekends because he's usually too tired out from work during the weekdays to help. Besides, I am "work" from home so I'm pretty much okay with the idea of doing the housechores. Keeps me busy. XD
