cleaning your microwave

I only really clean our microwave about every other week. It does not get to dirty unless my son uses it and does not clean up after himself. My hubby and I always clean if we spill in it so never really gets that dirty. In order to keep clean have to keep on everyone else in household to cover items and clean up after themselves. I know easier said than done.

I have found the best thing to clean a microwave with is baking soda. Its not too abrasive, but just enough so to get up the crud. It also eliminates odors that gather in your microwave.

I generally clean it whenever I see it getting dirty. I am lucky that I have a newer microwave right now that is very easy to clean. My old microwave used to get so dirty and was very difficult to clean, so I hardly ever cleaned it. One good thing I like about my new microwave is that the interior is white and doesn't show a lot of dirt inside even though it really is dirty.

When it gets very nasty. Other than that, I will wipe the inside and outside out with a wet rag.

Would give my microwave a quick wipe after each use. If the content did not splatter I would not wipe it but air the microwave. I would use a semi dry cloth and if it needs quite a cleaning job I would use Amway LOC. I think regular cleaning would prolong the life of the microwave.

It's weird, i don't even remember when was the last, or first time, I cleaned my microwave. It never got dirty.
