I have an 8 month old who thinks it's time to walk already! My others where never this early. I guess watching the others he thinks it's his turn? He seems just WAY to young to be trying to walk around just yet! Not to mention he IS my last one for sure and I want to keep my BABY a bit longer:D

My son started walking at 10 months. I also got him off the bottle shortly after. My daughter, didn't start walking until she was 12 months old off the bottle at 1 1/2 years.

My first child was over 12 mths old before he finally walked. I guess he was in no hurry. My others walked faster but, I wonder if they were faster because they had siblings to look up to.

WOW you had quick ones! My earliest was 10 mths. He never crawled though.. he just took right off lol
C has been on the MOVE since he was 3 mths old.. when I put him in the walker he we forwards!! All of my others went backwards first. I was amazed.
Why do they have to grow up so fast!

My baby was standing and walking around furnature when he was 8 months , but he didnt let go and finally walk until he was 14 months old. My other 2 walked right at a year. So I thought he was going to be quicker but he wasnt. Hes doing what he wants at his pace ... hes now 17 months and wants to learn to potty!!! thats great I wouldnt mind him being out of diapers, even though he is my last as well. I do want to keep my baby but at the same time I could deal with out the diapers

My 22 month old has acted like he is interested in the potty. I am not going to push the issue until he is at least two. Now he just wants to sit on the big potty and smile.. lol

My son was 8 months old when he began to walk. He did skip the crawling backward stage and really didn't like to crawl. He always wanted to stand up. He was one of those babies that tried to stand up very early and was always whining for someone to help him stand when he couldn't do it on his own. He was pulling himself up before he weas crawling.

My daughter and my son started walking at about nine and half months old. My mother said I was pulling up and walking around objects at 5 months and then I walked on my own by 7 months. God Bless

My oldest was about 9 months when he took his first proper steps. He didn't actually start walking completely then but I can't rememeber when exactly he walked properly only that he was walking well and I was taking him for half hour walks at 18 months. My baby is now 17 months and he's only been crawling for about a months and a half!

Mine all walked late, except the third one, he walked earlier, but he had to get up off the floor. I think it was a matter of survival! All kids do stuff at different ages, they do grow up way too fast though. They don't stay babies for very long.

my oldest son was just over a year old before he started walking on his own without holding onto things.
now my youngest son was around 8 or 9 months old when he started to walk on his own without holding onto things.
i think it all depends on the child and being that your son isnt your only child, seems to me that he is trying to catch up to the bigger ones ~
just remember he will always be your baby ~ no matter what age he starts walking!

My little girl was also born in feb on the 16th she has been pulling herself up on the furniture and walking around it for the last month or so. I dont think it will be too long before she is actually taking steps without holding onto the lounge or coffee table or whatever she can pull herself up with lol

He's not to young to start walking my niece was 9 months old when she first walked and i have known of other babies that started younger then that it just depends on the baby as all babies learn differently then others. My girls were all walking by 12 months.
