I realize when I look around myLot today that many of you celebrate Mother's Day today. That is interesting because in Sweden, where I am from, we celebrate that day on the last sunday of May.
Does anyone know what the reason for celebrating Mother's Day is? Is it only a commercial holiday? Why is it on different days in different parts of the world?

Here in Italy it is celebrated today but my mother, who is in UK, has her Mother's Day alwaya 2 Sundays before Easter, whatever the date. I too don't know why the dates are so different.
