So, how many of this generation's systems do you own? What's your favorite?

I currently own an X-box and a Nintendo 64,and I am happy with both of them, except my X-box tends to have a lot of problems at times, and I hope to one day get an X-box 360,because it looks cool and it has several games that I want that I cant get for X-box.

In our home we have a WII (this is cool) and a PS2. Some where (in storage) I know we have a Super Nintendo and an Odessey (are you old enough to remember that one?!). I think it would be cool to have a 'Video Game Center' where people can come in a play different generations of video games...from the ealier PONG to the latest and greatest (and everything in between)!
What is the earliest gen system you ever played? What is your favorite system and game?

No, I haven't played an Odessey. The earliest generation system I have played is an Atari 2600. I don't really have a favorite system. Although, I am pretty sentimental about my Super Nintendo since it was the one that really got me into games. Plus, it had lots of great games. To clarify, I do own all the Nintendo systems, with exception to the Virtual Boy. Plus, two sega genesis, a sega master system and an Atari 2600. However, from this generation, I only have a Wii. (Nintendo DS is a portable.)

Having a WII is pretty cool. My kids rented some kind of war game for it (frontline?) that looked pretty sweet! Sounds like you have been collecting some systems for some time! Odyssey came out about the same time as Atari did. Manufactured my Magnivox (do the still egsist?) it didn't get much press against the 'high speed' graphics of the Atari.
Do you remeber a system called 'Intellivision'. It had a very strange flat controller. I remember playing it in Kmart eons ago. That is when arcade machines were in grocery stores. Is there anywhere one can find a good arcade machine beside a Chuck E Cheese? :-)

I have heard about Intellivision, but I never played any of the games. There was a game called "Intellivision Lives" and was released on Gamecube, I believe. I never played it, but I guess it got pretty poor reviews. As for arcade machines, last I checked there were some at my local Holiday Inn and at Godfather's Pizza. There used to be a Pirate's Den (lots of arcade games there.) at a mall in my area, but they got rid of it for some stupid reason.

That's cool. I wish I had a DS Lite. The good thing about Gamecube though, is the Game Boy Player which allows you to play nearly every Gameboy game ever made. Also, I worry less about my Gamecube games getting scratched if I put them in my Gamecube. Plus, it's less noisy, but I still love my Wii and Gamecube!

I own the original chunky grey Gameboy from the early nineties. I got that when I was six years old. And there is no way I'd sell that. I also own a Sega Genesis. I got that when I was six or seven. I still like playing that Sonic game. I also have a N64, which I got when I was ten years old. That Mario game is so awesome. And it's way better than the new Mario games, in my own honest opinion. And finally, I have a Playstation 2, which I received when I was fifteen years old. I guess I got lucky with everything that I have. And I'm never selling any of them. I may not be a gamer, but it's nice to know that I have 'toys' laying around for me to play with.

I have a Wii, Xbox 360 and a PS3. Personally the PS3 is my favorite. The Xbox 360 doesn't play all Xbox games. Which kinda ticks me off because it just doesn't make much sense why it won't. I mean the PS3 plays all original Playstation games and PS2 games and PS3 games. Then the Xbox 360 controller drives me insane. I'll be sitting there watching a dvd and if it's over I have to turn the controller back on. I don't like the fact that you have to turn it on anyways. You don't have to do that with any of the Playstation controllers. I hope this helps you at least a little.

We have:
Original Nintendo(flaky at best, now that it's old as dirt)
Sega Genesis(just sitting around)
Xbox 360
Playstation 2 and 3
we are getting a Wii and a Xbox 360 Elite in the next few months. As you can tell, my boyfriend and I both play a lot of games. The new one that I really enjoy is Call of Duty 4. With Xbox Live, it makes for an awesome experience.
