EBay vs. Others like Bidz.com & iOffer

I think Ebay charges its sellers too much for every little thing - it's annoying! In my personal opinion, I think the Ebay craze is on it's way out.
Has anyone here tried iOffer.com? I am selling stuff on there, because they don't charge anything to list your item; you only pay if it sells, and it's a nominal fee. But it sure takes a long time (up to 24 hrs.) for your product to be searchable. I think it's weird. Has anyone had success from selling on iOffer?

Ebay still gets the bulk of the traffic. Unless you can successfully promote your auctions, it'll be awhile before you can drive enough traffic to these sites to cause bidding wars. You might as well list on Ebay and eat their fees...just my opinion, but they still get a lot of buyers traffic. These unknown or start-up sites will scare away a lot of buyers that liked the security of Ebay.
You are right, they do charge for every little thing..but they still are king of the mountain.

Sorry, I haven't a clue as to what sites there are for Malaysia. I'll ask a friend of mine, and see if he can help me with your question. (He's from Malaysia). :)

I have never heard of Ioffer.com. Personally any newer site out there it might take awhile, as it would depend on what type of programs they use etc. to post their items, etc. with. You will have to update us on if this program is good for you. Sounds like almost a type of site I used to use a couple of yrs. ago that has since gone out that I did OK with from time to time. I think personally, Ebay is way too expensive to Sell from, and way overrated. I use it only to buy on now from time to time.

I just bought my first item from ioffer.com. I had never heard of it before. I was looking for this movie for my grandparents that is near impossible to find and it wasn't on ebay at all and found this site. I bought it and now just waiting to see what happens. Hope all goes well, I like that I was able to pay with paypal still. I've been a seller on ebay for years but with times getting harder sales have been going down and the fees that ebay charges are out of control. I have a bunch listed on ebay now, but I'm thinking about starting to list on ioffer.com. It can't possibly hurt since there is no listing fees.

I've tried other sites and they were a waste of time. However I will check out ioffer. I am always looking for a new place to sell. The problem with the other sites is that you have to drive traffic to your items. Ebay just list it and they will come. I would say that amazon would probably the #2 place to sell.
There aren't any sites that I would recommend.

"Ebay just lists the item and they come..."
I never could sell a thing on Ebay - even when I would buy all the bells and whistels to make my listing noticeable. Nada.

due to the fees i only list a few things on ebay and i also have a new site where i list things and there is no fees to list. you only buy a yearly membership of $20 but until the end of the year you can save 50%.
email me if you are interested in the information

I will have a look at ioffer.com. It sounds worth having a look if nothing else. I sell on ebay, but as I have posted elswhere I am struggling with their fees.
A while ago, I signed up for Ebid. It looked good with no listing fees, multiple shops and so I signed up. I managed to sell a couple of children's clothes on their and then I thought I would set up some shops. Unfortunately I had to buyers who never paid which put me off a bit. The worst thing though was I seemed to get a bit conned on the money side. Although no listing fees if the listing is basic, it is clever at sticking items on a non basic listing without you noticing if not careful. I had a whole bunch of items listed on the basic, and then when I renewed them they went to a diferent fee level. I didn't realise (and the fees sort of slipped out of my bank which will teach me to read bank statements more) until 2 months later, when I checked an invoice. I contacted them and they said the items were listed on a part where there were fees, and when I checked it out they were right. It has all sort of put me off of selling on there.
I also tried Amazon and was doing quite well, until an item that someone wanted, disappeared at home after they had paid. I still don't know to this day where the book went, and think maybe I sent it out to someone in a bulk buy by mistake. Anyway, I contacted the buyer, apologized, and organised refunding their money for them but they went ahead and left negative feedback, even though I had contacted them, kept in touch and refunded!
Okay rant over ;)
The summary is I keep threatening to leave Ebay, but then it is a safe site, the fees are clear, and if I could just find the right product to sell I will be happy to use regularly. As I say I have friends that do very well off of it, so they to me prove its worth.

another good site for shopping online, it is better than ioffer and ebay, if you want source good quality chinese products.
www.iofferebay.com, very good service, and accept paypal, fast shipping.
I love iofferebay.
I have experience at ioffer,
I spend money, but received bad quality products. However the price is very unbelievable. very cheap,it is fraud really in fact.

I feel that the seller fees are high on eBay but it's still probably the best of the bunch. I only sell a few bits and pieces now and then so it's not worth me going elsewhere to sell
