What goes on behind closed doors....

Last night at work at the animal emergency centre a policeman brought in a dog. He said that they received a call to a woman's house at about midnight for loud music and noise. When they entered the house the found a large lady, drunk off her face rolling all over a dog. They took the dog and brought it straight into us. I'm not sure what was wrong with it as I was just finishing my shift when it happened but the policeman said to the vet "if it's any consolation we charged her with animal cruelty!"

Thats good. She should have been charged with animal cruelty..Any abused animal should be removed from a home, also they should be tagged like they do child molesters,as a dog abuser,or animal abuser and should never be able to own another pet as long as they live....

I feel what the policeman did was right, charging that drunken large lady for animal cruelty. What did the poor og do to deserve that kind of treatment from her master / mistress, for that matter. Nowadays there are many people who have pets donot know how to look after them or infact play with them. They just have a pet at home, to show off most probably, that they can have a pet, more of a luxury type. Noone ever thinks that they also have a mind, poor things, they are so grateful that they go through all the torture sometimes without even a whimper. All the best to you..

The mind boggles wondering exactly what this woman was doing with the dog; it must have been pretty bad for the police to charge the woman with animal cruelty, and to remove the dog from the house and bring it to your surgery. Please let us know what happens to the dog coffeeshot.

Oh my goh what is wrong with people,it frustrates me so much when i see animal cruelty.I dont understand why people get animals and then mistreat them and abuse them?I would like to know what goes in there heads, there needs to be some sort of law to protect animals from these people, people that are charged with animal abuse need to be monitored and made sure they dont get anymore pets. Not sure how they could go about it but its so unfair that anybody can get any animal they wish and treat it however they want behind closed doors.

I'll have to warn my kids that they might get arrested next time I catch them rolling on the dogs. Although in this case I think the dogs actually enjoy it LoL Did you ever find out the rest of the story?

that woman deserved that and much more. poor dog; how anyone would do such a thing without guilt or remorse is something i cant understand. its a good thing the neighbors called the police cause if they didn't i'm sure the dog would have been squashed by now.

That is so weird. I wander why she was rolling all over the dog? That is nasty and she could have killed the dog also. I bet she thought she was with a human or something. Who knows? People are so weird these days. I'm glad they removed the dog to a safer place. I'm glad they are going to charge her also.

I have actually heard of that sort of thing before. Probably there were other charges that could have been added, but it is understandable why they would probably not want to go there.

What on earth was she doing rolling all over it. I do not know what goes on in some peoples heads, I am not really sure that I would want to if I am honest. I hope the dog is ok, you will have to let me know!! I think that you have a really interesting job, I bet you have lots of interesting stories to tell!!

I can see where the cops showed up for loud music and noise at that time of the hour where she was drunk and all things tend to get rowdy. She was found rolling on a dog well maybe she was just horse playing around and the cop thought she was being cruel to the animal when they walked in and saw what they thought was animal cruelty. I can see if she was hitting the dog or something for them to say that but she wasn't. If the dog ( big or small ) didn't like what she was doing it would have bit her and there was no biteing involved so apparently the dog didn't mind it to much. Cops can be weird and under estamate alot of things just because they think they have the power to.
