responding to discussions with no responses.

well i think that the majority of the discussions end up with two responses. when some one creates a discussion it appears on the "discussions with no responses page" and there are people like us who click on it to be the first to respond. and when two people do it in the same time....one of the responses go first and the other go second.
and in the haste some even type very fast to make a lot of mis spells, mistypes....like typing the adjacent alphabet and still do not notice what they have done , some give one liners, and a lot of other mistakes are made.
are you one of these... well may be not always but at least many of you may have got these kind of responses.

Hi! I also hang out at the discussions with no responses page not because I want to be the first but because I just want to give people a response even if others wont. I dont pick randomly too. I choose to respond to those discussions that have no responses even if they were started 10 hours or so ago but still no response. I dont also try to type very fast or in one liners. I type and post what I think on the subject and the length depends on how much I want to say. My discussions also only get 1 response after a few days and then another response after a few more days. Most of my discussions actually dont have any responses and they've been sitting there for a week or so. I dont know why this is and I dont mind, thats why I dont start my own discussions that often. I answer to those without. I actually have a discussion in the no responses page right now and its about a day old. I pass by it when Im looking for discussions to respond to. Its ok.
My responses mostly have typos because I dont proof read that much only when I see that the textbox is bleeding red and incomprehensible. Otherwise I just hit 'post response'.

well it is good that you type fast and respond.... well i do appreciate the fact that you gave me such a nice response. also i would add that there are lots who do respond just to add up the counts.

You're welcome.^_^ I do agree that there are those who just put one liners to add up the number of posts. For me I dont put one liners. Quality over quantity for me.^_^

quality matters more.... you really feel good to see when the discussions started get converted to long conversations... when you feel like you are chatting and doing something for the fun and not just posting the responses.

well thanks that you are taking part in this discussion and about that fact that you gave the first response.... let me tell you some thing...
it may seem hilarious... but it is so...
well when i read that you gave the first response i thought that you have gone through all our discussion between me and bjcyrix with great scrutiny ..... we were discussing that in this discussion only we two are discussing and we were hoping to get a response from you and so ....i though that you have gone through all of those and gave the first response after all those discussions.

You are right. In spite of having several hundreds of friends, most people seem to be selfish here. They only want responses and not willing to give respnses even in reciprocation. Or it could be due to lack of knowledge about such courtesies. They fail to understand coutesy begets courtesy.
I always choose to answer (give responses) only by picking it as you said from DISCUSSIONS WITH NO RESPONSES. You can check the veracity of my information by looking into MY RESPONSES. It is nice to encourage people here this way.

Yeah you right, many uses mylot solely for money purposes only. They are not thinking of the person feeling when they respond to their discussion. Mylot aims to be a community and not a money opportunity only...

well thanks a lot for responding to this discussion.
your concern that many people use my lot just for earning money is indeed true. so some either post their responses without reading the discussion or the response that they are commenting or they read the discussion superfluously and the response that they give have no relationship with the discussion or the response.
well i too think that my lot is a great place for us where we can interact with others.
