let's say your friend have problems and he/she said goodbye to you without no clear reason why. all you know is that he/she needs help, but he/she doesn't reply to your emails or sms. how far will you go for that friend who needs help and you feel you want to help him/her for he/she has been very special to you? what will you do?

Its seems that your friend would like to be alone for a while.

I'll probably let that friend be. If that friend needs time alone, then it would probably be best to give them just that. It is a simple way of respecting their decision. Whether or not he/she needs the help, is up to them to admit to themselves that. Our roles as friends is to stay by our friends' side regardless of their decision. We are bound to try our very best to have them understand our opinions but we are to leave the decision making to them. If we don't agree that their decision was right, our duty is to tell them what we think (get mad if we must). But in the end, we are to respect their decision, and assure them that in spite of the difference in opinion, we'll be a friend and just be here if we are needed. To speak when we must, and to listen when we ought to.
