To download various files from websites, it is essential that you must have a download manager. But I am still not able to decide which is the best. I am current using Download Accelerator Plus but Free Download Manager is also a good choice. Can you tell which one is the most fastest of all.

the best choice is alway IDM - internet download manager . With a best bandwith ,it can improve ur download speed to 300 % . Flashget is good but not best .I think that

Does IDM require some components like Framework from Microsoft website to download. I have a very slower connection and can not download 22 MB sized such components.

No need for .Net framework, if that's what you mean. It doesn't need the instructions and protocols. How fast is your connection?

Hi there! I agree with dinhquanghuy. Based on experience, I've seen Internet Download Manager to be one of the best. It uses less computer resources, consistent in trying to reach maximum download speed, and can catch most of the files.
I've tried DAP however, it was when it has spyware in it. MY system went crashing down. I'm not sure today though as I haven't used it for a couple of years.
