I won a pair of havaianas!

I was never tempted to buy a pair of havaianas because I felt that I have more important stuff to spend on. They are just so expensive!
But then again, grace upon grace, I won a contest sponsored by a local TV network. Or at least, I sent in my entry early and got myself a new pair of Havaianas. It is white with gold straps and the design is specially made for the contest winners. Thank God I didn't buy one, at least I got my first pair for free.
And how is it? Well, for starters, they look like another pair of flip flops. Secondly, the rubber is not so soft, but not hard either, and when you step on it, the feet don't sink in. The resistance is high and it makes my feet just stable so that I won't get achy feet.
Anyway, I am just glad I won a pair and didn't have to buy it.

I haven't heard of havaianas. I'm just so out of date now. After looking at your blog, i tried to check them out. Same here for me, I think Havaianas are just too expensive! It's because of their brand. I can get a lot of other brands for that price, cheaper ones i might add. But in fairness, they do look cute! And from the descriptions you mentioned, with good quality too. Good for you to have them for free. Praise the Lord!

i love my havies! they are the most comfy footwear ever, i wear them to work, to the mall, to parties. they are quite addictive so be careful ;)

where did you win that pair?
I only have one pair of Havaianas and it is almost a year old! I only bought it because I was not able to enroll in my dream school and I asked for it as a compromise..
I love my pair because it is of my favorite color and it's by surprise that it is Slim edition.. ;)
I remember bringing it to a two-week vacation with only that pair on my feet, and it is still rigid and in its original shape, not like my friend's who had her pair of flip flops [of another brand] sunk already..o.O
