Hi mylotters is it true that dogs when left alone in the house get sad? My duxan terrier usually when left alone for hours he will hunger strike. One time he was running after me so i tied him near the bike. When i get back he destroyed the pedal of my bike. tonight i felt so nervous he vomited greenish thing. I made a good food for him but he ignore me and push it away. I gave him water with sugar like a dextrose in order to replace the water lost in vomiting. I notice his allergies and put some petrolium jelly on his skin and is it normal to fall his fur?

Hi cornchips! Your dog is real cute! But if he pukes a lot and suffers hair fall, I guess you have to take him to a vet. Dogs do feel lonely, and if they are left alone, they feel bored, lonely, and miserable and destroy things. Dogs, and even cats, are very sensitive and love human company. You leave your pet alone, and he will feel very insecure. Is he a new dog? Maybe he needs to get used to your schedule and maybe one day he will adjust. Cheers and luck with your dog!

Oh yes positive minded! He is a new dog about a month now. Everytime i leave i hug him and whisper in his ears that i need to go to my office behave when i get back i have something present for you. He is an intelligent dog he can easily catch up of what i want him to do. When i leave he never follow. he will just lie on his cheek and look sad. He can now adjust. godbless

Maybe he would love some toys to play with in your absence. Some dogs do get bored, and they have a lot of energy in them. Maybe he would appreciate a few toys to keep him company. Give him a pat from me! Cheers!

Sounds like several things are going on with your dog. If he is throwing up greenish fluids, I sure would take him to a veterinarian. That isn't good. Especially if he won't eat. And it sounds like the dog is very nervous and just needs you to pay a little attention to him. I don't think he chewed the pedal of the bike cause he was hungry. I think he just didn't like being tied to the bike. Hope you can figure out what is wrong with him and lots of good luck to you.

hi marg12, I found out that the greenish thing my dog throwed out was the potato in his food. He is better now playing with my 11 y.o. son True my dog is so much nervous that is why his behavior affected. The chewed pedal cause of his anger that he was left alone and tied. Cause he knew very well when he is being collared he will go on strolling in the park. That's it!

I think they do. We have two dogs, one is almost 10 years old and the other just turned 1, the oldest already understands that when we leave, that we will come back. Now the youngest, doesn't quite understand this just yet. So when we come back she gets so excited, she can't control herself. We actually have to wait a few minutes before we open the door to the house, so she doesn't knock us down. My husband was gone for a week, when he came back, the poor thing got so excited to see him, she tinkled on the floor. I can't count the stuff she's chewed up all because we left her alone. I don't think they do it because they are mad that we left them, it's more that they are bored and need something to do.

I dont really have know how about dogs. I think you need to bring your dog to a doctor. I am afraid he might be dehydrated if he will not drink water or any fluids.
